Michaels pov

Im still waiting for melanie to come out from the ally way but she hasnt budged for about 5mins.
I decide to wait around the corner of the ally way, trying not to get caught, i look around the corner and i see her and her friend lay on the floor.
Luckily she doesnt notice me.

In shock, i turn away and start walking home. It all makes sense now...

I feel myself about to cry. Im very confused. We've known each other for so long...why didnt she tell me...was she afraid i might judge her...

So many thoughts are running through my head.

1 hour later

Melanies pov

i decided to move all of my things into the house after a quick nap as i had no sleep last night due to michael ringing me and texting me all night long.

"Mel...mel?" I hear dylan shouting me trying to wake me up. I slowly open my eyes and see ann shaking my body.

"Hey" i say in my morning voice

"Hey uhh...you know michael?" Dylan says, my eyes widen at the mention of his name

"Yeah?" I reply while i sit up

"Well he kinda followed you here and now he knows tha-" i interrupt him

"Wait. What? Are you kidding" i feel my blood run cold and my eyes start to sting with a lump of guilt at the back of my throat.

"No...he followed you and walked away as soon as he saw you lay down...sorry" dylan sighed

"What the fuck am i supposed to do?" I say nearly crying

"Tell him you're not living here anymore, tell him you live in a house now, you wouldnt be lying!" Anna shouts trying to comfort me

"No! I cant!" I cry.

"Why?" Dylan asks

"He'll hate me for not telling him" i wipe my tears and put my head in my hands

"Im sure he'll understand why you didnt tell him" dylan rubs my back with his hand and i lift my head up.

"Can we just go to the house...i need real sleep"

"Yeah, sure" ann chuckles.

1 hour later

I try so hard to sleep but i cant.
I cant stop thinking about michael and about how he would of felt.
I know how bad he feels because of me and i cant even tell him myself.
Im such an idiot.

Suddenly michaels ringtone starts playing on my phone *UGH! -The 1975*

At first i hessitate and tell myself not to answer but soon enough i answer the phone

"Hello?" His voice crackles down the phone

"Uh...hey michael" i reply

"So i uh was wondering if you wanted to stay over tonight?" He really does know. Oh my god.

"Michael are you sure?" I ask

"Sure! Get some things"

"Uh okay"

"I'll see you soon mel"

"Bye" i smile.

I quickly grab a bag, i put shorts and a vest top inside and extra clothes for tomorrow.

"Ann!!" I shout. I hear her shout back

"Yeah!?"

"Im staying over at michaels tonight!"

"What?" She jumps out infront of me.

"We've spoken on the phone"

"Melanie...we've just moved in and you're not even staying on the first night?!" She laughs

"No but i'll be here tomorrow" i chuckle

"You best had be!" She chuckles

"Well have a good night" she says before i leave the house.

"I will" i smile and then leave

On my way to michaels i wonder past the old ally way and notice a boy standing on the corner.

I try to get a closer look without being seen, but i cant make out who it is.

It looks like he's wearing a checked t-shirt and skinny jeans. Thats when i realise its him...its michael. I hide behind the closest bush. He starts looking around and checks his phone.

I quickly move around and go the long way to his house. Then his ringtone starts playing again.

"Hello?" I say

"Where are you?" He asks. He sounds kinda angry

"Im like 2 mins away" i reply almost running

"Okay, i've just gone out for a sec, ill be home soon" i smile knowing that he just lied

"Oh...okay"

"See you soon" i end the phone call and run to his house hoping no one will see me...especially michael.
