Chapter Five

"And?! You're acting like having sex with your best friend is normal." Tyler was being very loud, resulting in Jenna coming out angrily. "Tyler, I stayed up really late and hearing you yell is like having an air horn blown into my ear, so please shut up." Jenna was rubbing her eyes, so Tyler nodded and Jenna went back into the bedroom. "People do it all the time, it happens a lot in the fanfictions I read." Josh stated. "This is not a fanfiction, this is real life." Tyler said sternly.

"Why are you so mad?" Josh asked. "Because- well, I don't know why I'm mad." Tyler realized he had no reason to be mad, so he calmed down and went into the living room to sit. "I'm sorry that I was reading them, I'll stop if you want." Josh sat next to Tyler. "I don't really care." Tyler lied, Josh immediately could tell. "I'm gonna go." Josh got up, grabbed his phone and keys and jacket, then left in a matter of one minute. Tyler sighed, leaning back on the couch.

Tyler thought to himself, what he always does. He overthinks everything. Thoughts like, "Is Josh mad at me? Did this fight ruin our friendship? Will Josh ever talk to me again? Why did I freak out so much? Why was I mad? What can I do to make it all better?" Then, whilst Tyler was heavily breathing about what could happen, the front door swung open.

It was Josh.

Tyler jumped up. "I forgot my jacket." Josh said. Tyler was pretty sure Josh grabbed it when he walked out, but he just sighed and sat back down. Josh walked into the room with Tyler's jacket. Tyler got up to try to tell him that the jacket is not Josh's, but Josh kissed him. It was a peck, not an intimate kiss, but it was on the lips making Tyler sweat almost immediately. Tyler sat there speechless, then Josh walked out the door, not even closing it.

"Wait! Josh!" Tyler shouted, but Josh was gone. The door was still open all the way, and Jenna had to come in right then. "Tyler, I already told you, you can't just leave the door open like that, bugs exist and they really suck." Jenna slams the door and walks into the kitchen.

Tyler thought to himself, "What the fuck just happened?"
