Skye's P.O.V~

It had been about 4-5 hours since we left off. I looked back behind me, Blake is asleep in the co-pilot seat and the rest of the team is asleep in the bunks. As I yawn, I decide to discard my green jacket and tee for my black tanktop. I look into the front mirror, glancing over my scarred flesh. Multiple scars from my past, em-bedded within my skin. But the fact that I'm well fit makes up for it. I sit back down in the pilot's seat, with my legs folded under me. I told Blake that I knew where we were going..... But that's only the extent of it. See, when I grew up, the village I called home was surrounded by a large, dense forest. It's now known as The Lair. It's where all the shadows and grimm are cast, it's where they call home. They were always there, but only recently did they totally inhabit the place. That's when I left.... "Why aren't you asleep?" A voice soothed behind me. I looked in the window infront of me to see Wiess. I looked down at my hands that lay cold and motionless in my lap. "Gotta make sure we get to where we're going." I say in reply, smiling slightly. She walked closer until I could sense her directly behind me. "You've got a burdened look on your face." She says, in the same tone. I let out a soft chuckle, then lift my head to look at her reflection in the window. "I was just thinking about the location we're heading to. The area surrounding the village..." My voice trailed as I slip into the 2nd world, forgetting where I was. "You can talk to me you know." She said in the same tone, once again. I'd probably have been annoyed if I wasn't zoned out, reliving the moment.

I speak it as I remember. "Born into the village, I was the first daughter in over a century. Actually, I was the first female born in the month of October. October was said to be a sacred month for the village, and the 21st was the 'blessed' day. I was born of the 7th hour on the 21st. I was put through a ritual, and it was said the 'spirits' chose me to lead the village through a long term battle. I was to learn to fight better then any man was said to, and I would obtain great rewards from protecting the village from the outside world. Well, on my 10th moon I was sent out for the first time, into the forest. The spirits guided me to find lost souls, and set them free to rest peacefully. Something went wrong that night, not with me but with the spiritual realm. We lost the village to the grimm, it over ran it easily once my father, along with the guards and all the fighters were demolished.... My half sister, Ashe, we were the only two that escaped. But we were separated when hunters came, to them we were just kids, they didn't care what happened to us as long as we were 'safe.' I haven't heard from her since then, we had talked about meeting up at the back of the hall of the next village. And if either of us didn't show by the end of the 3rd night, we'd have to go on.... I didn't find her."

"It sounds to me that you both are well trained to survive..... There's still a good chance that she's out there." "Yeah, but there's also a good chance she's not. And the thing is, that area is so overpopulated with grimm that it'd be hard to even stay in one spot for more than 30 minutes.... Unless." I stop as an idea peaks through. "Unless what." I turn to her and look into her eyes. "Unless we can retake the village. If we can rid the grimm from the houses, and relight the lanterns around, it'd be ours to camp in." I explain my thoughts. "It sounds like we have a plan." Wiess said with a smile. "Yeah but the thing is we'd need a strategy to fight off the grimm as long as possible, in order to light not only the lamps on the north, south, east and west entrances but also the 4 guard towers in the corners of the village." I stand up and walk quickly over to a cabinet, pull out a big sheet of paper and a sharpie, then make a quick sketch of the village. I mark where the lamps to the entrances are, where the towers sit, and a messy show of the buildings inside. "Since you know the area, I think we should go in pairs. Ruby and I can handle lighting the lanterns throughout the village itself, while Blake, Yang and yourself run around the boundaries. You guys can separate and light them quicker that way, you think?" Wiess talked the strategy, and it sounded the best way to me. I nod. "We got a good plan now." I say with a smirk.
