[102 - The Day of the Birds]

After introducing themselves to their teacher and being told that cell phones weren't allowed, they were quickly directed to seats on the side furthest from the windows. Seeing as the only open seats were beside the door, in the very front, but neither had a problem with that seeing as they actually liked English class unlike most teens. Blake handed out a diagnostics worksheet for everyone to work on before calling Scott McCall out to the hallway in order to talk with him then dismiss him from class.

About fifteen minutes later, the twins were done their worksheet and silently passing notes back and forth - discussing after school plans and dinner for that night when something smashed against the window causing everyone to look up. On the window was a splatter of blood, and there was a pause before something else hit the window - causing more anxiety in the students and the teacher. Blake walked towards the window as they heard a bird's crow getting louder and closer and a big shadow over taking their classroom. That's when they saw the murder of crows headed their way fast, the twins glanced at each other in confusion wondering if this was a part of all the strange things that happen in Beacon Hills. One by one the crows hit the window, leaving blood stains on the glass and eventually breaking the glass altogether letting them into the classroom where everyone ducked under the desks and rushed to protect themselves.

The birds flew around the room, pecking at everything in sight and flying around before dropping dead onto the room floor and leaving through the windows. When everyone was sure that the birds were gone, they stood up and looked around all wondering what the fuck just happened.

As the police and EMTs flooded their classrooms the twins stood to the side and whispered talked, mostly about how hot Corbin's necklace was becoming and about the events that just took place. Even though they were trying their hardest not to think about what just happened that boggled their mind to the fifth power. Nicole was happy that her brother was close to finding his soulmate while hers has yet to be near enough that it could leave a mark. Corbin saw the sheriff walk up to an older guy, who was hugging his daughter, and asked him a few questions, glancing at a teenage boy every couple of seconds. Corbin wondered what they could be talking about but decided he didn't care and turned his attention to his twin, who was looking at the strawberry blonde in confusion.

"What's up sis?" Corbin asked her and she turned to him and shrugged her shoulder.

"Her dress is really cute, just trying to figure out the brand is all. You know I love cute name brands and that is the cutest," Nicole told him and Corbin struggled not to roll his eyes. He was forced many times into going shopping with his sister, coerced into holding her billions of bags and giving his advice on whether something was "chic", which to be honest, he had absolutely no clue about. So needless to say he had high hopes of her and the girl with the "cutest dress" becoming friends so he no longer had to shop with her.

"Yeah, okay. Do you want to ditch or stay the rest of the day? Personally I recommend ditching, I didn't want to come today anyway," Corbin told Nicole and she turned, looking up at him and gave him her widest smile before holding out her arm.

"Ditching for sure, this place is bleak anyway," Nicole told him as Corbin linked his arm with hers and led them in the direction of his car since they decided carpooling was better.

If Corbin would've looked back just once, he would've noticed the strawberry blonde looking at him. He would've met the eyes of his soulmate, and his necklace would've went cold.

A bit shorter than the first but I wanted to get another chapter out. Not all updates will be this fast. Enjoy :) Attached to the top is little Nicole's thinking face. Aww
