Bokuto : Be My Queen

Back to when you were 4 years old

You sat on a grassy hill in the park your next door neighbour and friend, Bokuto, had forced you to come to while the cherry blossoms from the trees fell to the ground around you. You were reading a book for school as Bokuto ran around. "(Y/n)-chan!" Bokuto yelled. You looked up at him and he gave you a wide smile. "Come here would ya!" You sighed and got up and walked towards him. "What is is Kotaro?"
"Close your eyes." You blinked at him a few times but just went along with it.

Suddenly you felt something being placed in your head. You opened your eyes as soon as Bokuto said you could. You found a flower crown on your head and Bokuto grinning at you. "You're a queen (y/n)-chan!" You smiled and giggled at your friends antics and watched him climb the trees around the park.

"Kotaro!" You called out about 7 minutes later. He ran up to you and smiled with mud all over his face to see you still wearing the crown. You then took your hands out from behind your back on placed another crown on his head and smiled. "I'm the queen and you are my king." You gleamed.
"But...aren't Kings and Queens married?" You tapped your chin and looked up at the sky. "I didn't think about that."
"Well then!" Bokuto shouted and ran off and returned only a few seconds later. He held open his hand and showed you a flower. The stem was bent into a loop and he looked at you with hope in his eyes. "When we're older do you want to get married?" You blushed pink and decided to tease him. "Hmm, I don't know. My feelings for you might change when we grow up."
"Stop teasing me!" He cried.

Time skip : a few years (1st year if high school)

"(Y/N)-CHAN!" Someone yelled from behind you. You turned around and found Bokuto running up to you from amungst the students all looking for a club to join. "Yes Kotaro?" You asked and turned to his panting form. "What club are you joining?" He gleamed and looked down at you. You thought for a moment before making your mind up. "I think I'm gunna join the boy's volleyball and become their coach." Bokuto immediately hugged you. "That's great news. We're gunna be in the same club." He smiled and dragged you over to the volleyball club to sign up.

Time skip : 2 years (cause I'm lazy)

You watched as your team played against karasuno during the tokyo training camp. You were truly impressed by their team. It was the final match of the day and the whistle blew after Bokuto spiked and gained the final point. Karasuno went off to the hill outside and did their punishment. You smiled since they looked so cool doing this time and time again. Bokuto ran up to you after the match and started jumping about around you. "(Y/n)-chan! (Y/n)-chan! Did you see the awesome spike I did?! Did ya! DID YA!" You smiled at his excitement and nodded. "Yeah I saw it."
"(Y/n) can you help me with these boxes?" Shimizu asked. You nodded and took some of the boxes and headed outside.

Bokuto stood there staring at your form. It was only after you left the building did he snap back to reality. He turned around and saw every team, coach and manager just looking at him. "What?" He asked. Akaashi sighed and Kuroo walked up to his friend, putting an arm around his shoulder. "Let me explain to you why we are all looking at you my oblivious friend." Kuroo said in a very weird way. He cleared his throat and yelled, "when the hell are you gunna tell (y/n) you like her?! We're all waiting!"

Bokuto started panicking and blushing while blabbing on about how he didn't like you like that until Kuroo dropped the bomb. "You can't ask her out yet you proposed to her before." Everyone was silent until it finally processed into their minds. Everyone started screaming and yelling things like, "you did what!" or "you're such a chicken" and from a certain group of 3 boys hung over Shimizu, "What was her reply!?"

"SHUT UP!!" Bokuto yelled and everyone looked at him. "We were like 4 when I asked her to marry me and it's different now. I'm too scared to ask her."
"Why? Is it because you're chicken?"
"HINATA YOU DUMB ASS!! YOU'RE NOT HELPING!!"
"IT'S NOT BECAUSE I'M CHICKEN!!" Everyone looked back at Bokuto after they yelled at Hinata. He took a deep berth before continuing. "Me and (y/n) have known each other ever since we were born, literally, since our parents were friends and neighbours we use to play together when we were still babies. We've gone through everything together and if I ask her out and she doesn't feel the same then everything we've done together, the friendship we've built, it may just collapse. I don't want to lose her." He said and started tearing up.

"To be honest Bokuto-senpai," Hinata started. "SHUT UP HINATA!"
"This isn't stupid I promise."
"I doubt it." Tsukishima smirked.
"Anyway Bokuto-senpai, (l/n)-san doesn't seem like the person who would just stop being friends with you because you confessed to her. You don't have to listen to me since I've only known her for a few days but still." Before Bokuto could give his reply you came back in.

Bokuto thought long and hard on how to confess to you, he couldn't even sleep that night because he was too stressed. 'Thank goodness my hairs already white.' He thought as he stared at the ceiling. He thought back to when he had proposed to you as a kid and an idea popped into his mind.

Time skip : the next day

It's was dark out and Tsukishima, Akaashi, Kuroo and Bokuto were all in the 3rd gymnasium and you decided to join them. You gave Tsukishima and Kuroo a few tips and before you knew it it was time to pack up. "You guys can go ahead. I'll clean up."
"Alright (y/n)-chan." Kuroo said and walked away with the others. Bokuto stopped at the door and turned around. He walked over to the storage room and looked at you. "Want some help?" You turned around and looked at him. "If you insist."

The two of you started packing up. When you were placing something on a high shelf Bokuto came up behind you. "(Y/n)-chan? Do you remember when we were little and I asked you to marry me in the future?"
"Yeah," you giggled, "we were so weird."
"Yeah. As weird as it was though," he stopped and you felt his arms snake around your waist and his head hiding itself in your neck. "I still want you to be mine." Your eyes widened and you turned around. He refused to let go of you though and his head still hid in your neck. "Please (y/n)." His grip on you tightened. "Please be my queen and let me be your king."

You stared at him and felt something wetting your shoulder. He started sniffling. "Kotaro, give me one reason why I would say no." He looked up at you with tears falling. "So you're saying yes." You nodded and immediately felt his lips against yours. After your sweet little kiss Bokuto pulled away and blushed. "Oh gosh did that just happen." He said not believing what just happened. You giggled and pecked his forehead. "Yeah, it did my king."
