"Really?" Blake grabbed my phone from my hands and began typing away. "What's his name?" Tap, tap, tap, he typed a mile a minute on my cellular husband. "How old is he?"
I began to reach for my device and said, "Give me back my phone and I'll-" before he interrupted me, clearly not paying attention.
"Is he from our school?" He asked as he scrolled through the pictures. "He looks familiar." He paused for a second or two, "Yes he does!" A gasp escaped from his lips, "Oh! He's the new boy! He's cute. Is he available? Is he straight? Oh bitch, I hope not. If I ask and he says no, I'll be so embarrassed. I'll kill you Toya."
During all this, I managed yo swipe my cell from his grasp before yelling, "Will you shut up and let me explain, like damn!"
He simmered down after this and settled his anxious self on my bed. "I'm quiet, speak!"
Sighing, I began, "You don't have to ask about anything. Just stand there and look pretty. He's bisexual and to be honest. if he does say no, who cares? You'll still be as fabulous as ever."
"Well," he commented, stretching the 'l', "I am fabulous." Wow. Leave it to Blake to ignore everything but the compliment.
I shook my head. There was a reason I invited him over. After James left in a storm, I phoned Blake to come over. I mean, I was excited. Someone needed to share my excitement so why not the person I planned on carrying with me? Besides, he needed to know as soon as possible about the trip and who he would be with. "So remember that Pierce the Veil concert we were supposed to go?" He nodded. "We're not going anymore."
He frowned deeply, "Why the hell not? You better had have a good excuse for wanting to miss Vic's fine ass."
"I hope so too." I reached over on my nightstand and retrieved to tickets, "Is going to a Brazilian Gay Parade a good enough reason?" I queried, showing him the three pieces of construction paper.
He gasped, grabbed them from my hand, "Hell to the yes! Oh! I can already see all the sexy foreign dudes. Oi! Hola papi!" In the process of fanning his face and exaggerating his emotions, he fell. Head first. To the ground. Right on my laptop. Poor laptop. "Ow, why is your computer at the foot of your bed Toya? You're damaging people. " He rubbed the spot moaning.
My head fell back as I laughed at his idiotic behavior. "It has never interfered with me before. nor my mom. Not even James. You must be special."
He paused, "James? Why was he in here?" then gasped, "You're not screwing him, are you?" I shook my head violently. No way! I treasured my virginity. Yeah, I've wondered how sex felt but who hasn't? 'Would James know what to do? Is he even a virgin? I doubt.' "Toya? I asked a question."
"Oh." My train of thought; broken. "What?"
"I said that there's three, who else is coming along?" He sent me a sceptical look, probably guessing my previous thoughts.
"Tre."
He scrunched his face, "Why?"
"Because he's my friend and I want ot get to know him." I explained. 'And I'm trying to hook you both up.'
He nodded in understanding. "So where are we staying?"
"At my friends apartment."
"Who is this friend and how old is he?"
I paused, "Why do you assume it's a guy?"
He shrugged.
Rolling my eyes I replied to his previous question."Stefan."
