"You know me?" I asked this guy looking down at me with an orange hair and showing his charming eye smile.
"Quite," He replied in glee. "I've been watching you since you arrived the town with the help of my butterflies."
I raised my eyebrows in wonderment and asked, "The glass winged butterfly?"
The mysterious witch nodded to my question. "They're like my eyes too and I can see through them."
"If that's the case..." My eyes widen in realization with my mouth hanging open, thinking back the countless times I encountered the butterfly and the day I have first seen it. This mysterious witch then chuckled to my surprised reaction.
"You're right, I was the responsible for leading you in this tower and also made it easy for you to enter." He said while crossing his arms with a smug look on his face.
"Who are you anyway?" I uttered, giving him a taunting look.
He crouched down and looked closely to me. "I think you've already heard me from Jungkook, my name's Jimin."
I gasped when I remembered that name mentioned from Jungkook's account. "You were the one who raised the intruders from the dead five years ago if I presume?" He responded with his charming eye smile again.
"What do you want from me then? Why did you lead me here?" I asked inquisitively causing his face switched to a serious look.
"I want you to free Jungkook from that ring. I don't want him to become a witch and I think what's best for him is to stay and live in harmony with the humans," Jimin paused and lowered his gaze down. He continued, "In a place hidden to mortals, I witnessed the true wicked nature of witches and how cruel they can get especially to humans. Even my brothers who used to be innocent and kind-hearted are now blinded with power and lust all because of being a witch. Also, I discovered my mother's antics that I endured a lot of things just to plan my way out and also to save my dearest youngest brother while there's still a time."
"I don't get it, what does the witches do there and how come you're different among your brothers?" I questioned, intrigued to what he said.
"Sorry Ellie but, I guess it's best not to tell you about it so will you help me to save Jungkook away from my brothers?" Jimin dodged my question and raised his eyebrows with anticipation.
"I'm not sure," I admitted, avoiding his gaze at me. "I feel betrayed and Jungkook broke my trust because he lied to me. My father is right I should've heeded his warning in the first place because look what I got, ending up in this horrible situation."
"There's a confession I want to tell you Ellie," My eyes snapped to him; compelled to his words. "It was also me who made a deal to your father for an arranged marriage by disguising myself as a merchant and told where you had been for the past days."
"Why the hell did you do that?" I freaked out in shock, seems like he is the mastermind of all the things happening to me.
"Well it was all just according to my plan in order for you to remain here and see how you've become attached to Jungkook." He showed a sly grin. If only I'm out of this cell I would probably smack his head for sure.
I heaved a sigh and asked, "Why me of all people you chose me to free him? I'm just an ordinary girl, Jimin."
"Actually, your father is keeping a secret from you for a very long time. You're not just an ordinary human girl Ellie but also have the blood of an alchemist." He revealed.
"Alchemist?"
"Have you ever wondered where did your father get all the wealth? He's an alchemist which means he has an easy access for him to make gold out of metals. That's why I believe you will be the perfect key to my plan because only extraordinary humans can understand and sort these things that ordinary humans can't perceive." Seriously, how did he know things I don't even know? This Jimin witch guy is quite impressive indeed, making me to shook my head in awe.
"You witches are so smart and cunning."
"Well I'm more than that actually," He scoffed, reminding me he's also a necromancer as well. "Look Ellie, give Jungkook a chance and I guaranteed the joy on his eyes whenever he was with you. I think he already harbors some feelings to you and I know you do the same. I want him to have a better normal life with you Ellie." Jimin begged in sincere.
Yes, I did have feelings for him but now it's tainted with doubt ever since he lied and hid something to me. However, there's still a part of me telling me that I should give him a chance and let my feelings grow again for him. My mind battled whether to forgive him or not, in the end, I decided to do it. "What do you want me to do then?"
His face lit up in relief and smirked. "Just follow my plan."
|Jungkook's POV|
How ironic for me when I used to belittle humans and waited for this day to become a full-fledged witch, but now, everything changed ever since Ellie came to my life. Inside of me refused to follow my lineage of witches. I'd rather have a normal life with Ellie instead than live for a thousand years with nothing but wickedness. My eyes wandered outside the window beside me with no interest to watch my older brothers preparing the ritual.
"Is the ritual ready?" Namjoon asked then the rest of my brothers gave him a nod in return.
"Get the girl Taehyu-" Namjoon was interrupted when someone came with a panic tone on his voice.
"She's gone brother!" My eyes widen and quickly turned my body around; seeing Jimin's agitated state.
"What do you mean?" Jin queried worriedly.
"When I got there, an unknown intruder released her from the cell. I tried to stop him but I think he restrained me with a spell." He looked down; dismayed and hopeless. My older brothers then hastily left the room hence, leaving me and Jimin alone.
The next thing I knew, Jimin came close to me and dispersion of numerous butterflies left his body; replaced with a girl's face and entire figure.
"Ellie? What are you doing and how did you do that?" She immediately grabbed my wrist and pulled me towards to the door.
"Saving you of course! I'll explain it later so for now let's get out of here!" Ellie informed while carefully scrutinizing our surroundings down the stairs, making sure my brothers haven't gotten back yet. Meanwhile, I was left dazed to her courageous act and also the fact, trying to save me even when I lied and hurt her feelings a while ago.
"Where are we going?" I asked when we managed to exit from the tall tower.
"Somewhere hidden in the forest."
