Let's just say, the evening just got better. When I say better, I totally mean Jack starting a fight with Julian, just because Julian kissed me. Yeah. I'd say I was having a swell time. Pun intended.
This is why I don't go to high school parties.
"Jack, get off him!" I yelled and pushed Jack away from Julian. "What the hell is the matter with you?! God, you are such an amateur!"
He was being held back by a bunch of guys and, of course, Stacey bitch Mavericks. He glared at the both of us. "He kissed you!"
I stared at him in disbelief. "And you cheated on me." I said, trying so hard to not let my voice crack. "What difference does a kiss make? And... we're not together anymore, remember? We're over. Maybe then, you can cheat on Stacey bitch Mavericks for all I care." I spat.
The room was completely quiet, it was almost as if we were in a graveyard. It was creepy. I swear, you could hear crickets around or a pin drop.
"Hey! I'm right here." She protested.
I turned my glare in her direction. "And you should be ashamed." I said, coldly.
Before she could talk back, Jack yelled, "You don't even like him!"
Time to put the show on the road.
I shot him a smirk. "Don't I? I mean, he's got the looks and we've known each other since the day we could walk. He can be pretty charming when he wants to be," I uttered, remembering what he said to me in the hallway. "So, I don't really see what's not to like. Oh, and he doesn't cheat on his girlfriend." I finished.
Jack and Stacey looked as if hey have just been slapped. It was funny actually. They had their mouths open and their eyes wide. It was hilarious and all I really wanted to do at that moment was laugh at them evilly and yell to the audience, "Hey! Can someone grab a camera and post this on Snapchat? It'll go viral, I'm sure."
"How... How long have you two been... to-together?" Bitch Stacey couldn't even say it.
Julian wrapped an arm around me, wincing slightly. I don't know if that movement was real or that he was just a really good actor but I decided to dwell on that later. "About a month now." Julian answered.
She gasped slightly. "But all those name calling... and the pranks you pulled on each other...?"
Oh boy. This is going so well! Revenge plot begins!
"We are quite good actors, don't you think?" More than you know, bruddah. "It was all just a cover up. We've known each other for years. It's hard not to fall for each other." Julian lied smoothly before smiling down at me, which I returned, making it look like we were madly in love with each other, but all I really wanted to do was puke even more. Like I'd fall for this dimwit.
But I gotta admit, he was pretty good at this.
I smirked at them. "Surprising isn't it? I guess all opposites do attract. By the way, have you gotten your period yet?" I asked Stacey. She turned pale. "Oh, better get that checked. We wouldn't want anyone to think you guys didn't use protection!" Then I gasped dramatically and looked around as if it was the first time I realized we had a crowd. "Oops. Sorry." I said, not sounding the least bit sorry. I turned to Julian. "Let's get out of here." I whispered before walking away.
Mission accomplished.
