I ended up not asking my dad.
That was the very reason why I was crawling down my window at 7:55 at night and waiting for Damien a block away from my house. He came a few minutes later in a black Aston Martin looking absolutely gorgeous (the car, I mean).
"Hey." I said, getting into his car.
"Hi, there." He said, smiling brightly.
A few minutes later, we arrived outside a very large and very full house. Damien turned the car off and turned to look at me.
"Okay, listen. Things can get pretty wild when it comes to things like these. So, I want you to remember a few things; stay by me at all times, do not accept any drinks that's not coming from me, even if a decent looking guy asks you to and last but not least, do not drink." He said, seriously.
I tried to match his seriousness but ended up cracking a smile. "Got it."
He smiled before ruffling my hair. "Good. Let's go."
I mockingly glared at him, causing him to laugh.
Together, we ventured inside the big house with sweaty, drunk teenagers.
The place was ginormous, to put it simply. It had different lights all around, loud music, a dance floor full of teenagers older than I was and, heck, there was even a bar. I found the whole spectacle cool and amazing.
I was so entranced by the whole thing that I didn't notice Damien getting me a drink until he gave it to me. "One non-alcoholic drink for the lady." He said in a mock British accent before passing me a red solo cup.
I couldn't help but laugh at his lame attempt at doing another accent. "You sound weird but I'm going to let that pass because of this drink. Thank you." I said, before accepting the cup.
He raised his cup with a smirk on his charming face. "Cheers."
I clicked my cup with his. "Cheers." I said before laughing and taking a sip. I looked around. "So, this is what a high school party looks like."
Damien nodded. "Yup. This is pretty much it. Nothing special about it." He said.
"Hmm... the movies make it sound so much more fun." I said.
My companion nodded. "Come on, let's dance."
I looked at him. "What? No, I can't-"
"Come on. It's so much more fun if you dance. I swear." He said.
I shook my head. "I can't dance."
He smirked. "Sure you can! Let's go. I'm not taking no for an answer." He said before wiggling his eyebrows and I couldn't help but laugh.
I sighed. "Fine."
