2009 was the worst year of my entire life. But, of course, 2010 decided to come along and so did 2011, 2012 and so on, until finally 2015. People forget about the things they've done even after seven years. But the memory still remains. It's stuck somewhere in the back of your mind, like a carved name on a stone.
I, for one, have already forgotten the events that happened over the course of seven years. But the something, or shall I say someone, was about to help me remember that went by the name of Stacey Mavericks.
Yes. That Stacey Mavericks who my ex-boyfriend cheated on me with while she had a boyfriend of her own. That same Stacey freaking Mavericks who always pushed my buttons, always ending me up at the Principal's office.
The very same Stacey bitch Mavericks who was coming my way, her huge (it had to be fake) hips swaying like a ball being throw back and forth and her boobs (which also had to be fake) bouncing up and down, as if it was being juggled by a circus clown.
She stopped right in front of me with a murderous look on her face. "Stay away from Julian, you bitch. He's mine." She sneered.
I raised an eyebrow. "Not what you were saying when you had sex with my ex-boyfriend in the Principal's office." I stated, feeling bored already.
"I don't care. That was in the past. Now I want Julian back and you're getting in the way of our love. So, I suggest you back off." Stacey said.
"Oh, please. Why should I, huh? He's mine now. You had your chance. So, I say you give up with that little fantasy you have that you and Julian will ever be together again because you won't. He likes me for me. And I, for one, never cheated on him." I said, confidently.
I probably sounded like a total bitch but she was pushing it. Better trash talk than trashed faces. I may not care about her face but I do care about mine, thank you very much.
Stacey smirked, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "You sure about that? How about that guy named, hmm..." She pretended to think. To be totally honest, I was surprised she could even think. "Oh, right! Damien White. I heard he was in town a couple of days ago. What did you do? Had a one night stand, maybe?" She mocked.
My blood ran cold. Memories of seven years ago came flooding right back as if it never really left in the first place. All those feelings washed over me like a bucket of cold water being thrown all over me. The humiliation, the shame and the disappointment in my father's eyes when he found out.
"I'm not a bitch like you, Stacey." I said, my voice cold but I was already winding down.
My walls were way too down for me to do anything more, leaving me vulnerable and open.
"Yes, but you're a thief. A boyfriend thief." She said.
I couldn't help but scoff. "Have you looked at yourself? Stop describing me as yourself, Stacey. I'm not you. Never was, never will be. So, back off." I snapped.
Stacey stepped closer to me. "I'm getting Julian back, one way or another. He's going to break your heart and come back to me. And you," She shook her head in mock pity. "You'll be left all alone with your pathetic little life. I've taken Jack away from you once. It won't be that hard to take another man from you again." She said and moved away.
"Looks like daddy won't be able to save you this time." She called out over her shoulder and walked away, while I was left alone, thinking about what she just told me.
Not only did she bring up my past but she also threatened to steal the person who I'm actually starting to have feelings for. And the worst past was that I wasn't able to fight back. The bell rang, indicating it was officially time for lunch. I had free period, that's why I was able to walk around the halls.
I didn't know what to do. I can't lose Julian, not after everything we've been through together. But then again... maybe it's for the best. Julian and I haven't exactly been good to each other, except that part when we went to the garden and stayed there, not bothering to get back to class.
And... one memory, in particular, flashed on my mind.

I laughed so hard there were tears in my eyes. "You did not just do that to Colton. He is going to kill you if he find out you took his teddy bear. He acts as if it doesn't bother him but it really does." I said, chuckling slightly.
Julian laughed along. "He's not going to find out. And, even if he does, he's in New York. What can he do?" He said.
We were silent after that. There's been a lot of that between us, lately. I bit my lip before turning to look at him, only to see him already staring at me.
"Imagine what and where we'd be right now if our parents had never met all those years ago." I said, staring into his deep sea green eyes.
How can they be so green?!
"What do you think?" He said softly.
My heart started to beat rapidly.
"Uh..." I hadn't even realized we were both already leaning dangerously close until his lips were already brushing mine.
Then suddenly, we were kissing. And it wasn't the slow and steady kind of kiss. It was the total opposite.
It drove me crazy.
