I rose from bed like a rose blossoming in spring , waking up from the sun that ignited my bedroom, lighting my hair like a fiery halo. I lifted my head from the pillow, my hair burning due to the color, the color like a night sky flowing back and forth like a waterfall. The suns vibrant rays sent a glossy, gold sheen all around the room, blending with the falling leaves of Autumn. The sunlight didn't bother me even though I was, in fact a vampire, since my DNA mostly beat my father's by like 90%. The sun actually bathed my skin and I felt like today was going to be, like, the BEST day EVER! Only, I didn't really know why. My mind was fuzzy with all this sleepiness so, I headed for the bathroom and splashed my face with frigid, bone-chilling water.
OMG!!! Today's THE day!!! Today, I'm heading to the destiny I've yearned to go to since I was very young. Mother made sure to see if it were safe for me to go there by asking a soothsayer to arrive at my house right... now! I brushed my teeth, changed into human-like clothes, packed the extra things I needed for the trip and opened the door. I seriously ran like the wind just to open it.
"Hello, oh wise soothsayer. I'm glad you came to tell my future. Please sit down. Oh- and here's your payment." I gave the soothsayer a small chest of gold and she smirked at the loot that was staring back at her. I handed her the chest and she instructed me to hand over my hand. I was nervous all of a sudden as she pressed her fingers on my palm. "Oh... oh, my! You will lead your kind to chaos if you kiss a human being. And death will surely come upon you!!!" She shrieked. Her eyes were wide and I felt her pulse, which was moving quite slowly. "Um... can you please tell my mother that everything will be fine, I promise you that this will surely not happen. I have choices to do so..." my voice trailed off. "Child, this isn't an option. It's destiny." She headed for the door with her materials and ran out, probably afraid of me now. Funny how she had a smile when she came in and now she has trembling lips as she came out.
Child, this isn't an option. It's destiny... the words repeated in my head. I shook it off and flew to the airport, carrying not only the weight of the luggage, but stress as well.
Throw on a spell, That will remove my wings, I do not want to dwell, Instead turn the wings into a ring.
The spell worked and transformed them into a beautiful ring with wings. I stared at the perfect details of the ring and wanted another one that I would surely keep. I got out of the bathroom and headed to my plane.
"Now leaving New York, and flying to United Kingdom." The flight attendant said over the speaker. I was going to miss the busy streets, honestly and I kind of wanted to stay. But I'm going to the one place I desire to head to. I looked up from my phone as the airplane lifted off and stared at the Airport. I took a sigh of relief, now that I got to start all over. My flight is only beginning, but I've got a long way. I laid back, positioned my earphones and music blasted through. I really tried to be unflustered, but thoughts were fighting off in my mind. The things the Soothsayer told... were they true? Am I going to fall for a human? Will chaos erupt? Will I really die so soon? NO! It hasn't happened yet, and knowing that this may occur, I have time to stop myself from doing so. I have to relax and not be so uptight. I took a deep breath and made myself comfortable.
"Thank you for coming!" Thanked the flight attendant as she waved bye to everyone. I rolled my eyes at her once I walked by and she threw a mad fit. She clenched her fists and looked away. I shrugged and carried my luggage to a taxi, ready to find a place to live.
"Where to?" Asked the guy.
"Um... to the... nearest hotel?" I asked.
" Uh... okay? That'll be 100 pounds." I couldn't believe the price, but just shrugged it off. Luckily I knew some magic spells to convert money to another type of money. I handed him the pound sterling and he stepped on it, getting to my destination within a few hours.
"Thank you." I mumbled once we got there. I'm kind of glad I'm a witch since I don't have to worry about forgetting anything. I could just use a spell to make the item appear. I smiled to myself as I arrived at London Marriott Hotel Maida Vale. The place looked very sanitary and welcoming. I handed over the money to the front desk as they handed over the key to my suite. I can't believe I'm miles from home, living at paradise, with humans. It's like... a dream come true. I unpacked my things and plopped myself on my king sized bed. It was nice to relax for a bit, but I knew I had to go to school the next day. For now... I had this day to explore. I stretched and decided exploring is too much stress. What I needed was a long nap and... a snack. I unpacked invisible jars of strawberries and suck the color out of it. Yum! I am definitely in paradise, I thought as the sweet, tangy flavor went down my throat.
