Violet's POV

We were following Tim and Katie when we arrived in town and each one of us cringed at what we saw; bodies laying everywhere and walkers wandering aimlessly through the streets and parking lots. Bo gave my hand a reassuring squeeze when I started tearing up at the mass destruction of the city. We eventually made it to the mall and Tim had to gun it for us to get through the parking lot, because there were hundreds of walkers surrounding the building. We went to the back door because it was the place that had barely any walkers around it. Each one of us got out quickly and ran inside, surprisingly the door was unlocked. Tim led us to the center fountain and squatted.

"OK, now Katie, Violet, Bo, and I are going to this side," Tim said pointing to the right side of the mall." Josh, Mariah, Patrick, and Austin go the other way. Dwayne you keep lookout for any walkers in here. Leanne stay with Dwayne, he'll need someone to watch his back" Tim got up and started walking to the right towards the bigger of the stores the rest of our group followed." We stick together. No one goes anywhere without the rest knowing where you are. We are looking for weapons for us first, so to the sports store we go. Violet and Bo go grab some of those bats; I'll grab us some shoes. What size you wear?" Tim said walking in the store.

"Uh, I where an eight, Bo wears a nine in women's," I said confused.

"I wear eight and a half." Katie answered following Tim across the room.

"Come on babe, let's go find those bats." Bo said tugging my hand the other way." grab a couple gym bags for storage. Nag some random clothes too."

We started grabbing clothes off the racks and stuffing them in a bag I found in the window. Tim and Katie ran up with another bag full of shoes a few minutes later. We left the store after grabbing the bats and ran back to the fountain.

"Now we wait for everyone else." Katie said sitting on a bench with Tim.

"We need better weapons than this.' Bo stated looking at Tim.

"We will, after I pick my friends up. I have about ten friends I need to find first." Tim replied smirking.

"Ten?" I asked slightly surprised.

"Yeah, they served with me in my security firm for a few years."

"Wow, that's a lot of people for just three vehicles. How are we fitting that many people in here?" I asked furrowing my eyebrows.

"We have a truck that we are meeting at in about an hour, so we got to hurry." Tim replied glancing at Mariah as she and the others returned.

" I need you and Patty to get the rest of the stuff in the mustang, Josh, Katie, Bo, and Violet come with me. The rest stay with Mariah. Let's go." Tim said walking away.

Our group split again and we hurried to the side door and crouched on one knee. I looked at Bo when I felt her kiss my head.

"Good thing we found him or we would be by ourselves." She stated pulling me to her.

"Yeah, I'm glad you stopped." I replied staring at her. She smirked at me kissing my head. I closed my eyes and flowed through my memories of our first meeting a couple months earlier...

I walked in the new looking building with a slight tinge of fear coursing through my veins. I was extremely nervous this being my first day back as a senior in college. I walked to the office and asked the secretary for a schedule. I walked aimlessly for a few minutes until I bumped into a solid wall and fell. I looked up holding my head and there stood the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. Long black straight hair and a heart shaped face with a strong jaw. Deep, dark blue eyes that made me sink in them like an endless ocean.
