The Doctor stood between the two worlds shaking his head, he had never seen two most horrible worlds, even when had his encounter with the Dream-Lord.

These worlds were both unpleasant, but even in the most unpleasant things you can find hope.

His companion, Clara Oswald had been killed by Daleks nearly two weeks ago and yet it felt like eternity. The Doctor was ready for a new companion this time maybe a male.

There were several reasons why the Doctor wanted a male companion, we won't give you the whole list just a few of the reasons. First off, male companions were more handy with fixing things. Secondly, they were better thinkers. The Doctor liked a good thinker. But what the Doctor couldn't stand was arrogance that is what he didn't want in a companion. Also, this companion needed to be a quick learner, But not to quick.

The Doctor also needed to meet this companion and meet this companion is what the Doctor would do.

The Doctor was careful as he set foot from the Tardis, his time-travel machine given to him by the Gallifreyans. He had many companions who he loved, but he liked Clara most of all, maybe for her smarts. The Doctor had spent many a time with her and he loved Clara, hating see her go.

The Doctor like most Time-Lords was able to regenerate so he wasn't sure if any of the people he knew would recognize him.

But he needed a companion.

But with all good things there are consequences.
