Chapter 21

"ZIVA!" 

HUNTER'S POV  

I sat by mother's bedside. She is just lying there in a coma. I wish she'd wake up. 

"Hunter, I'm sorry," Alex said.

"It's fine, Alex, nobody knew this was going to happen..."

Alex wrapped his arms around me. We aren't dating but its just a sign of comfort. I liked that feeling. But I would never admit it but I'm scared Ima wouldn't wake up. Daddy wouldn't come in and look at her. I stood up slowly and kissed her head and whispered I love you.

I walked out her room. I saw Gibbs and ran straight into his arms. He hugged me tightly. 

"Gibbs.. please say she will be okay..." I mumbled.

"I did not give her permission to die yet, so she doesn't have a choice."

Gibbs turned to face my dad, "DiNozzo take Hunter and Alex home." 

We left the hospital really fast. I guess dad didn't want to see Ima in a coma. (WTF!? I just realized that she says mother in Hebrew and then Dad in English >.< FAIL!)

 Dad dropped Alex home. Alyssa was still at the office with Jenny. 

I started of thinking of the many ways to tell her what happened. None seemed to be easy. I mean she already lost her parents, I don't want her to think that another tradegy is going to happen.

We got to NCIS faster than I had hoped. I jumped out the car and ran into the building up to Jenny's office. 

"Jenny."

"Hunter, Cynthia is there for a reason," Jenny said.

I laughed until I realized I was on the floor with Alyssa sitting on my stomach. She was staring at me with her hazel eyes. 

"Alyssa can you get off me... I can't breathe..." I choked out.

She crawled off of me still staring. I didn't want to upset her but I have to tell her. Jenny already knew but decided that I should tell her. 

I sat here on the floor trying to get the words out of my mouth. 

ALYSSA'S POV

I watched as Hunter kept opening and closing her mouth. She probably wants to tell me something or she's just being silly. 

She finally managed to say what she wanted to say although it wasn't a good thing like I hoped it would be.

"Alyssa I'm sorry but, Mommy is in the hospital because she was injured in an explosion and she's in coma."

 A/N: I JUST REALIZED I HAD VANCE AS THE DIRECTOR *FACEPALM* LET'S JUST PRETEND JENNY WASN'T DEAD AND VANCE GOT DEMOTED BACK TO DEPUTY DIRECTOR!
