I had been on the road for six hours when I pulled into my parent's driveway to see Andy's car sitting there. I was furious, yet thankful that I got that phone call right before the exit for Kernersville or I would have continued on 81 to her parent's home, not mine. I cooled myself off as I walked up to the house. There was a soft glow coming from the kitchen, but all the other lights in the house were turned off. I opened the door to utter silence. I walked down the hallway and the second I rounded the corner I was met with pepper spray in my face.

"Dammit Andrea!" I yelled out of pain and bent over before falling to the floor.

"Oh my God! Cory! I'm so sorry!" Andy exclaimed as she dropped to her knees next to me.

I couldn't say anything the pain shooting through my eyes was worse than anything I had ever experienced. I would have rather been hit with the baseball bad mom kept in the corner than this. At least then I would have known what kind of pain to expect.

"You've got to rinse your eyes," Andy said as she helped me up off the floor and lead me to the bathroom, "You've got to take your contacts out and your shirt off."

It took everything think I had to get my contacts out of my eyes, but it did relive some of the pain. It was then I realized that it wasn't just my eyes that were burning. My entire face, neck, hands, ears, and scalp felt like they were on fire.

"God, it burns!" I screamed.

"Calm down!" Andy screamed, "Just let me help you!"

"I have to get it out of my eyes!" I yelled.

"Calm down!" Andy exclaimed, "Lean over here."

I heard the water running in the bathtub, but at the same time I felt Andy pull me down. The cool water gave relief to my skin and eyes as it rushed over me, yet I could still feel the burn. I reached up to wipe my eyes and suddenly she smacked my hand.

"Don't touch your face!" Andy yelled at me, "You've still got it on your hands!"

Within seconds I was left to rinse my eyes alone. Curious to why I stopped the water only for it to be turned back on again. How was she doing this without me feeling her there? Suddenly the water wasn't flowing from the faucet and instead the shower head. I was soaked within seconds with freezing cold water.

"Ahhhh!" I screamed.

"Just shut up and deal with it while I get this out of your hair and off of your face," Andy instructed me as she started scrubbing my hair with what I could only determine was Dawn dish soap by the smell.

I'd be lying if I said having my wife massaging my head and face didn't feel good. It wasn't long before the burn went away and I opened my eyes to see the blue pigment from my hair staining the bubbly water as it ran down the drain.

"That's much better, but you need to dye your hair again it's pretty much blonde with blue highlights," Andy laughed.

"I'll deal with it later," I told her as I stood and snatched her around the waist and stuck her in the shower.

"Cory Alexander! Stop!" Andy screamed as I held her under the cold water flowing from the showerhead and she slung her arms around hitting me.

"What's wrong?" I laughed as I finally let her go.

"That's not funny," she said with the most hateful look on her face before grabbing me and pulling me into the shower causing me to fall.

I laid in the bathtub as the ice cold water continued to run over me. I deserved that, "Alright. I give."
