The Apothecary: Normal, Never

New Friends

Janie:
I sat there, in aw. I had almost got hit by a car, again. Sometimes I wonder if the world wants me to die. "Of coarse not Janie! What are you thinking!?" I say to myself. Then I remember, Ben and I still have school. I stand up, throwing off Benjamin in the process.
"Hey, you could at least be a bit more nice to the guy that saved your life" Ben said, jokingly.
"Sorry" I replied. He smiled again and grabbed my hand. His hand was warm, and conferting. I felt as if I were safe, with him by me.

Benjamin:
As we arrived at school, we were greeted by two identical girls. "Hi I'm Maecee and this is my identical twin Molly! We are here to welcome you to Kirkland High!" One girl said, supposedly Maecee. Janie shook the girls' hands and greeted them. I have never been much of a people person, so I just kinda inched back towards Janie. Maecee had dark brown skin with curly charcoal colored hair. She had pink lips and smelled of lilac. Maecee was wearing a short skirt with a button down blue shirt. Molly, looked and smelled the same. They were even wearing identical clothing! I studied them hard, wanting to find a difference between the two. Then, I found the difference. Maecee had dark brown eyes, whereas Molly had a green color. Both girls' eyes were a darker shade, so you almost didn't notice the difference, much unlike Janie's vibrant blue eyes. I realized that I was staring, and quickly looked away. Then, we started to move towards the school. We headed straight towards the grand entrance, along with all the other students. I recognized nobody exept Janie, which didn't count. Then again, this is the first time I had ever been to California. Even though Janie used to live in California, before I met her, she didn't seem to know anyone either. Just then, the bell rang, and our little group headed towards home room.
