We turn into the school parking lot and find a parking space. As I was getting out, Marcus grabbed my wrist, pulled me back in the car, and shut the door.
"Um.... What's up? We're at school."
"I know, I just need to warn you about something."
"What is it? Is it a life or death situation?" I frantically ask as I start planning escape routes out off the school parking lot.
"Uh... No it's just that, Do see you those girls over by the buses?" I turn my head towards the bus lane by the building to find a group of five or six girls crowded around the main door. I nod my head in acknowledgement of the group.
"Yeah, well their little 'pack leader', Michelle Parkinson, has been trying to get me to go out with her for the last month or so, until I told her that I had a girlfriend."
"So, you want me to act like your girlfriend so she'll leave you alone?"
"Yes, yes please!! It'll only be for a couple of weeks. I'll just pick you up and take you home every day, and the only affection you'll have to give me is holding my hand." Should I agree to this? Why not? It'll probably be fun.
"Fine. Let's go." I hop out of the car and walk over to his side. He steps out of the car, puts his sun glasses on, closes the door, walks over to me, and gently grabs my hand.
Holy tripping fudge sickles.
His hands are so freaking soft. Even though this situation is so wrong, it feels so right. We walk over to the door hand-in-hand. When we reached the group of girls, which I have now named the brats because they are and look like the brats dolls, they were speechless. I really wanted to laugh so hard at how gullible they were. When we entered the hallway, we got a few more stares and glares, but one in particular was aimed directly towards Marcus. Ugh not this douche bag again!
