The next morning, I woke up before Kellin. I decided to go downstairs and cook so that when he gets up he has something to eat. All he's done lately is help me. I should do something nice in return. I make eggs and sausage with toast. About halfway done cooking, I hear him come downstairs with a tired groan.

"Good morning!" I say with a big smile.

"Good morning..." He rubbed his eyes and coughed into his sleeve.

"Are you feeling okay?" I look at him, concerned.

"Yeah, I'll be fine. Don't worry. I just don't feel well. I think I got a cold or something." He walks over closer and sees me cooking. "What are you making?"

"Well... You've been so nice to me lately. I decided to make you breakfast in return." I put it on a plate and hand it to him. I grab my plate, and we walk to the table.

"Well thank you... That's really nice of you." He smiles at me.

"Oh. Hang on!" I run upstairs and look in my drawer of my dresser. I have medicine in the bottom drawer. I grabbed cold medicine so maybe he'll feel better. I walk downstairs with it.

Sitting back down, I hand it to him. "Here. This should help your cold. Just take two every 8 hours and you'll feel a lot better." I smile.

He also smiles. "Oh, thank you. Are you sure you don't mind me using these?"

"It's no problem!" I continue eating as he takes them.

After we eat, Kellin decides to put our plates in the dishwasher and then looks at me. "Thanks for the breakfast. It was really good."

I smile and walk upstairs. As soon as I do, I get a call. I pick up the phone.

"Hello?"

"Hi, is this Chassity?"

"Yes. Who may this be?"

"My name is Jenna. I work for the hospital you had been in. We went to file the money and it seems you don't have enough money in your account for us to file what the insurance didn't cover."

I hang up. I already knew I was going into debt... I'm not even 18 yet and I'm already in debt. Fuck... I sit down on my bed and look through my bills. Then, I hear a knock on my door.

"Come in?" I set down my phone and I see Kellin peeping his head into the room.

"Hii. I just wanted to let you know I'll be laying down for a lot of today, since I don't feel well." He smiles and waits for my reply.

"Okay! If you need anything just let me know. I'll be happy to get anything. Also, rest well!" He nods and closes the door behind him. As soon as he leaves, I start to have a mental breakdown.

I quickly suck it up and leave my room. I head downstairs and walk out the front door. I'm going to take a walk. If he needs anything, he can just text me. I decide to walk over to my old apartment and see what happened to it.

After the lengthy walk, I head up the stairs and look through the peephole of the door.

I know I'm being a nosy bitch, but I need to know what happened to the rest of stuff.

I couldn't see anything. I knock on the door. I was immediately greeted by a new face. It was a guy who looked like he was into similar stuff as me.

"Hi... Do you live here?" I smile.

"Yeah..." He stares at me for a moment and then continues. "Can I help you with something?"

"Oh... Yeah. I used to live here. I actually wanted to talk if I could..." I look down at my feet.

"Oh. Okay, come on inside!" He opens the door and I see my old couch there, along with the rest of the apartment being more furnished than I'll have ever gotten it.

"Oh. They left my things here?" I look at the couch that I used to spend life on.

"I guess so. They said there were things left by the previous owner." He sits down on the couch.

"Actually, that's what I came to talk about..." I walk closer to the couch and sit down at the opposite side.

"Aha. Alright, go on." I look down at my feet again.

"So... There were boxes here. Right?" I don't look up. I'm terrible with people.

"Yeah, I used some and I didn't do anything with the rest." My heart leaps in hope.

"W-Was there a box with a small carousel in it?" I look over at him.

"There was. It's in one of them I didn't do anything with." He stands up. He starts walking, motioning me to follow him. I follow him into the extra room and the boxes were in the corner.

"Oh... Thank you so much!!" I squeal a little without realizing, at my happiness. The carousel was a small gift I had gotten from my father when I was 6. I forgot to take it...

I slowly started rummaging through the boxes. It stayed silent for a solid 5 minutes. Then, he speaks up.

"You... Look familiar. What's your name? Your full name..." I look up from the boxes.

"Chassity Britton... Why? What about you? You looked familiar too I guess, unless I'm just now seeing it." He was just looking at me for a moment.

"Chassity. It's me, Tyler." He stands up and sits down next too me on the floor.

"That name sounds somewhat familiar though." He laughs a little.

"Don't you remember me?" I stay silent for a moment.

Tyler... Tyler. Tyler. Tylerrrrr. The name is so familiar and he actually looks familiar now too. But I can't put my finger on it.

I scan my memory for a second and then I look at him, dumbfounded. "Tyler. Tyler!! I haven't seen you in, I dunno, years!" I immediately hug him. He's an amazing old friend of mine, and I have to say, I'm happy to have him back as my friend once again.
