Professor Lee was already chatting with the casting director when they arrived promptly for the audition. He was laughing animatedly and seemed very interested with what the director was telling him that he did not notice them enter the room. Their jaws dropped when they saw one of the actors from the drama come in to the room for a cup of coffee.

"Hey Kwang Hoon, your kids are here. Let me know if one of them passes the screening. I will need to give them some pointers..." Hyun Bin smiled at them and they were awed by his presence that they almost forgot to bow in greeting.

"Ah, yes, they should get a few pointers from you and number one is to never forget to show respect to their seniors..." Professor Lee glared at them and they felt that they would disintegrate.

"Aw, don't tell me you're using your intimidation to these kids too? Don't worry guys, it's just a façade. He's actually a softie! Haha!" Hyun Bin tried to humor them and they didn't seem to buy it. Professor Lee was not one to be disappointed, especially when his reputation is at stake.

Sungyeol was looking forward to the audition since it was his first time to try out for a drama. He was happily scanning the room for familiar faces from class when his eyes fell on Woohyun. Woohyun caught him looking and gave him a smug smile.

"I heard you guys were trying out for the role; I hope you don't mind if Sunggyu and I give it a shot."

"I thought you were with Jinri practicing for tomorrow's class?" Sungyeol was irritated but he had to know what happened to Jinri.

"She didn't feel like studying today; probably because you ruined the entire day for her with your nonsense. I, on the other hand, do not want to waste my time, so I decided to go with Sunggyu for the screening."

Sunggyu called Woohyun over when he heard their names were announced. Woohyun gave Sungyeol and the rest of the guys a careless salute and turned his back on them to go to the casting room.

"Who do you think will get picked? I don't think I made such a great impression... " Ho Won was worried as he took a seat with the rest of the group. Most of them were done with the auditions, but Sungyeol was still waiting for his turn.

"Lee Sungyeol? You're up!" The PA called Sungyeol over and he quickly stood up and walked towards the casting room. He was so anxious about the script because it was a drama, and he barely cut it when it came to dramatic roles. Come on, where's your mojo, Sungyeol? This is your dream... Don't chicken out...

As he got inside the casting room, he saw two people sitting behind the camera man. One of them was Professor Lee, and the other was the casting director for the drama. Sungyeol sighed deeply and looked at the camera. They greeted each other and the casting director asked him to introduce himself.

"Alright, Sungyeol, I have high expectations of you. Your professor tells me that you and Myungsoo are two of his best students. I was told that drama is not your forte, but an actor should know how to be flexible... So let's get started, shall we? Read from the second page please." The casting director instructed Sungyeol as he went back to sit with Professor Lee.

Sungyeol tried hard not to let them notice his nervousness and coughed a little bit to clear his throat. He read through the monologue of the character and tried to get into the right emotion needed for the scene.

It was about a young man who was trying to win back his girlfriend's trust. Luckily, he felt the same way as the character did so it was easy to feel the character's words. He just reminded himself of how it would be like if Jinri was actually his girlfriend. As he was saying the words, the tears trickled down his cheeks. He could see Jinri's face and she was looking at him with contempt in her eyes, like her eyes were boring holes on his soul. He felt a mix of sadness and frustration. He clenched his fists and it became difficult for him to breathe. He was halfway into the monologue when the casting director raised his hand and signaled him to stop. Professor Lee had a straight face so he could not tell whether his teacher was satisfied with his performance or not.
