chapter one

"3..2..1 WE WON THE AUCTION!!!!! take that skank." lilly yelled pointing at the computer as we sat at my computer desk. we had been on my computer for days trying to out bid some girl from LA for front row one direction tickets, gosh some people are sooooo annoying. apparently this girl was going to drive from LA to atlantic city to see one direction by tomorrow, she obviously does not have a brain. I mean i don't even like one direction that much, but i promised i would take lilly to one of their concerts for her birthday. thats my girl lilly she is always that one girl who is basically risking her life to meet someone famous, she is crazy i guess that's why she is my best friend.

"yuppp you know i was kinda hoping we could move past this whole boy band craze years ago, like maybe when we were like 13, but no we are freaking 18 years old. i mean we don't even live with our parents anymore and you have one direction posters plastering your bedroom wall... i think we need an intervention!!" i said my eyes wide as i watched her jump up and down in excitement, she kinda looked like a ten year old.

"well maybe i have not moved on because i like remissness in my youth.." she stuck her tong out in my face as she usually did when she thought she was right.

" oh yeah you want to enjoy being a young thirteen year old girl again, rather than live for now like maybe going to an awesome party, maybe like the one i will be missing to go with you to see a bunch of guys that basically get by on looks and i could care less about? i think you have some serious problems."

"well thats why i love you adeleen o'brian !!!!! who's party was it anyways?" she picked through my closet looking for something for me to wear to the concert.

"you know it irritates me when you say my full name!!!!!! and it was my party and i now have to turn the reins over to my friend kate, so thank you very much." i said with a smile shutting down my computer

"sorry i forgot." she mad a face which reminds me of a horse

"hahahahahha, its okay that face made up for it." i fell to my bed laughing like their was no tomorrow.

"well now that that little Hiss fit is over i have to go take a shower, and sleep" she slowly walked out of my room and shut the door. well i better get some sleep too, to prepare myself for the 9 ish hour drive we have to make to atlantic city tomorrow, at least we live in Chicago and not LA. i slipped into my bed and snuggled up into the covers and slowly but surely the usual music from up stairs lulled me to sleep.

"WAKE THE HELL UP YOU LITTLE FREAK HOLE!!!" lilly said as she pounced up and down on my bed, being an idiot.

"COME ON YOU LITTLE YOU BOW FACE WATER PAPER GET OFF MY BED!!!" i know that sounds freakish but we have weird nicknames for each other, like she calls me 'orange butt cat lover.' she is crazy.

"hey guess what my mom e-mailed me for my birthday?" she asked me as i sat up rubbing my eyes. i shrugged.

"BACKSTAGE PASSES!!!!!!! i can finally meet niall..." she whispered the last part

"you got to be sh**ing me!!!!" i got up from my bed and seen it was 6 AM

"why the hell am i up at 6 FREAKING AM?" i yelled. she covered her ears

"Because i thought since we will be staying in atlantic city for the next few days for vacation i thought we could get to the hotel early so that we can get ready for the concert."

"HOW LONG IS THE DRIVE???" i yelled again this time she tried to yell louder than me in an attempt to make a joke

"12 HOURS!!!!!" she is seriously messing with me now i mean really.

"I thought it was 9 hours that's what you told me when we started to bid." i said now starting to calm down

"well i thought it was but it turns out if you want to make it there in time we have to leave in like ten min, don't worry we can stop at star bucks for breakfast, i love their muffins." she went to go pack my unpacked suit case. i went into the bathroom to see that my dark brown hair looked like a hot mess, so i threw it into a messy bun. i went to put my black sweats on but she already packed them so she made me ware an entire outfit that matched her that her aunt sent her for her birthday last week. they were a pair of red sweat pants that say 1D all over them and a t-shirt with a big pic of them all, along with a matching hoodie. honestly i can officially say i hate her so much i hope i don't see any cute boys there wile im wearing this getup.

we got all of the bags packed into the car for vacation along with our big rainbow beach umbrella and our lounge chairs.we got into the car and embarked on our 12 hour drive.
