Today is the big dinner thing for my Uncle Shawn whoes been in jail since I was about 15. I dont really remember much about him , James was the closest to him. At that time of my life , I was closed off. Hated meeting new people , I didnt want people getting into my life. So I closed myself off towards strangers.

"Babe , the dinners in a hour" Juan told me.

"Duh nigga" I smiled.

"You and that mouth" he shook his head.

"I thought you loved me and my mouth" I pouted.

"Nah , Nah don't start that pouting" he said.

I pouted even harder and threw in some puppy eyes. Before I couldn't even use my magic he speed walked to the bathroom. Juan knows my game a lil to early .. I heard the shower cut on.

Perfect ! Stripping out of my clothes I stepped into the shower. Seductively smiling at my baby.

"Baaaabbbbyy" I whispered in his neck.

I twirled my tongue on his neck , blowing on his ear occasionally nibbling on both. Juan wrapped his arms on my lower waist pulling me in closer. Our bodies were so close , and I loved it.

"Shanel.. what you tryna do mami?" Juan asked me in my ear. I smiled

"Anything you wanna do baby" I told him.

With that being said he picked me up as my legs wrapped around his torso .. and my back against the shower wall as his lips kissed mines. His tongue intertwined with mine , as if we were playing tug of war. It felt right , it felt good. He stopped and put his forehead against mine catching his breath

"Later?" he asked . I wanted it now , but out of respect for Gino I agreed.

Juan wore some levi's with black air force 1's and a black ralph polo . Baby was cute . I wore a red pencil skirt with a simple black tee and black combat boots Together we shined .

"You nervous love ?" Juan asked as we parked in my dads driveway.

"No ? Aint no reason to be ." I said flatly.

Really I was irrated that instead of having sex with my man , I was having dinner with a man I knew nothing about.

"Babygirl , thanks for coming" Gino embraced me at the door.

I smiled and went to the dinning room. Picking up the aroma of Fried Chicken , Mac & Cheese , Greens , Cornbread , Baked Beans , Porkchops , Brats. Immediately my stomach growled this wouldn't be so bad after all.

James was happy to see Shawn everybody else was neutral. Really all I was worried about was this food on my plate.

"So .. how is it being out bro?" Gino asked Shawn.

"Its... different" Shawn told him.

"You gotta place to stay?" Kandi asked him.

"Yeah Bro took care of me" Shawn told her.

Kandi mugged my dad and finished eating. Silently I chuckled just a little. Niggas betta act like they know.

"You still play basketball? " Shawn asked James.

James shook his head "I work for dad now" he told Shawn.

Shawn shook his head "That aint the life you know that right?" he told James.

I was starting to listen to there conversation more , shit was getting good.

"Keeps my pockets full" James shrugged. Shawn shifted in his seat

"Theres other ways to do that!" Shawn said James shrugged it off , while Shawn looked like he was bout to go incredible hulk.

"Did you tell them why I'm in jail?" Shawn spoke. Gino choked on his food a little

"What?" he asked.

"You heard what the fuck I said ! DID YOU TELL THEM WHY I WAS IN JAIL NIGGA?" Shawn rose his voice.

I thought Gino would stand up and do something for the disrespect in his house but he sat there looking guilty. Juan grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers.

Shawn scoffed "You really got them fooled brother" he said. "All these years and you still aint told em shit huh?" Shawn scoffed.

"Look - " Gino started but was cut off.

"What the fuck is going on?" I asked irrated even more.

"Why don't you ask your so called dad?" Shawn told me.

"Gino?" I asked him. Juans grasp got tighter .. he was uncomfortable but I was angry.

"Babygirl. We wanted to tell you guys." Candy said with wet eyes.

"Tell us what?" James asked

"Shawn is your father .. both of you guys" Candy blurted out. I was in shock to say the least.

James laughed in disbelief , but the shit felt so real.

"How?!" I asked.

"Both of your moms never wanted for Shawn to be there.."

"I found you guys .. God helped me find you guys. I took you guys in .. The day Shawn got locked up was the day you were supposed to find out" Gino told us. I looked at James and then Shawn ... my dad.

"Shut the fuck up Gino. Lemme tell em the truth" Shawn interrupted.

"Big guy over here got to mothafuckin attached .. he didnt want me steal his shine like always ! I wanted to be in both of ya'lls life ! I loved you guys the day your moms told me they were having ya'll but because of my "reputation" they didnt want shit to do with me. I was hurt .. when Gino told me how he found you guys I was hyped. Was gonna get my life together . Gino told me you guys would need time so I waited and waited and waited ! "

"On my last run for Gino I was caught ! And they locked a nigga up ! I'd send letters to Gino & Kandi but I guess ya'll never got em . " Shawn said full of anger .

"You grimy muthafucka ! You of all people know what I've been through" I yelled at Gino.

"All these years " James said. I stood up "And you bitch ! Why the hell you aint tell me !" I yelled to Candy.

"Little girl you betta sit the hell down , yeah we did some fucked up things BUT WE STILL RAISED YA'LL" Kandi told me.

"You kept me from my father !" I told her.

"I trusted ya'll" I told each of em. Jaun was by my side ready to kill any mothafucka.

"Were sorry" Gino told us. I looked at James.

James was still in shock , which put more fuel to my fire. I hate seeing him hurt. I went by his side and whispered

"Stay wit me tonight" .

He was still in shock but nodded his head and went upstairs. I laughed a little

"Shawn can we meet another time this some real fucked up shit I cant even wrap my head around it" I told him.

"Of course , you just like yo father hot headed !" He laughed. I smiled .. my father .

James rode with us still silent , I understood he needed his space as I did to. Automatically I soaked in the tub once I was home. Juan came behind me in the tub and cuddled with me. Sadly I was crying , it was like my life was a lie. A cold hearted lie........
