I finally got a POV but. I was in the living room playing with Kae while everyone was in the kitchen cooking. I bet y'all wondering how I'm so good with Kae . Well my moms bed had a newborn baby and I used to watch her when my moms and her bf go in the room & "talk" the call it. I'm very mature for my age. I was forced to be once we found out my mom was sick. The mom her be found out he left. Like a lil b word. But honestly we didn't need him.
"Kaelani." I cooed she smiled making baby noises. She was the cutest. As I was playing with Kae there was a knock at the door. I put Kae in her car seat and went to open it. It was my friend Amanda from next door. We became pretty close. She dress kinda like a boy. I asked why she said she's more comfortable like that. I think she's gay. I'm not judging by the was she dress. I'm judging by how she looks at me. She looks at me the way Kiara looks at Molly. I mean I kinda look her that way too. I've always felt I liked girls but never said anything after my mom said it was just a faze. But I've had one boyfriend and when he held my had I felt nothing. It felt like my brother holding my had as I cross the street. Some may think I'm young but I know what I feel.
"Hey come in." I say moving letting her in.
" I walk back ove to Kae with Manny behind me. She told me to call Manny cause Manda is to girly. I took a seat on the floor and went to play with Kae.
"She's so cute."
"Yeah she is. " I smile
"What's her name?"
"Kaelani like the singe."
"I love that name."
"Yeah me too."
We sat and played with Kae til she fell asleep &I then we started playing uno.
"Haha , yeah I won." I yelled in excitement."
She smiled. " I let you win."
"How?" I say
"Cause I did."
"The lies. The lies!
"Hope , Amanda come and eat." Tete Molly called.
After dinner we sat and watched movies in the family room. It is now 8:30. Manny went home and do did everyone else. I was now in my room laying in my bed watching cartoons when Molly came in. "Can I talk to you?"
"Yeah." I say muting the tv.
"I know this year has been hard for you and I understand. I want you to know just cause I had Kae doesn't change anything. I also want you to know that you can tell me or even tell me anything and don't have to be scared. This mother / guardian thing is all so new to me. But I want to raise you into some beautiful. I promised yo momma I will take care of you and Ima do just that. I'm not trying to replace your mom in anyway. Call me what you feel like calling me. I won't officially be able to adopt you til I'm 21 but you , Jay , Kae , Ki & her moms and sister is all the family I have. I don't want you to ever feel alone." She says
"I love you Tete Molly. I'm so greatful for you taking me in when you didn't have too. So thank you. " I say kissing her cheek.
"I love you too Hope & there is no thank you needed it."
She kissed my forehead and left out the room. I laid down and looked at the ceiling. Though my momma isn't here I have a remembrance of her thru her sister. I might have lost one angel but I gained another. I smiled as I slowly drifted off to sleep."
