D A Y 7
You blink your crusted eyes awake, flinching from the sudden sunlight.
"Wha-" you were surprised to hear how dry your voice sounded and you pushed yourself up with weak arms. Hearing the rustling of the covers, Yuki gasps and comes running over.
"[Y/N]? Oh thank goodness you're awake! I was starting to get worried!" She hugs your frail body tightly before assisting you with drinking water.
"What happened?" You ask. Your mind was fuzzy and you could only remember distant voices as you fall to the ground.
"You were terribly wounded after fighting an Ayakashi. You didn't return so I asked Bishamon to help me find you and when we did, you were almost all the way blighted. You gave us quite a scare. Thankfully, Kazuma knows how to work wonders so he helped keep you alive." Something was off with her story. You remember Bishamon and Yuki but you really thought you fainted in the house... You decided to accept Yuki's explanation for now but planned to further investigate.
"I'll prepare a herbal bath for you." Your caretaker kisses your forehead before walking out. You swing your feet over the edge of the bed and shudder from the cool air touching your sweaty body. How long have you been asleep? Standing up, you wrap your arms around your cool body and open the door, only to see Kazuma standing guard.
"Oh you're awake." He smiles gently at you, which you return. "I assume that's why Yuki is preparing a bath?" You just nod. "I'll lead you there then."
Like a gentleman, he places your hand on the crook of his elbow and leads the way. When you two get there, he simply stands there."Ano... would you please leave?" You blush in embarrassment at his boldness.
"Leave? Oh! Yes! Sorry! Oh my. Bishamon usually wants me to stay so it isn't as if I haven't seen anything new..." Kazuma's face turns a bright red as he realizes what he said. "I didn't mean it like that! Uh... Excuse me!" He rushes out and you chuckle as you begin to undress. You had a spring similar to Bishamon's but much, much smaller.
It was about the size of small pool with a waterfall and a bridge that went under the waterfall. You start there first and begin to wash your hair and body. Then you slip into the herbal water as steam arose from the green tinted water.
You start to muse over what Yuki said and what your vague memories said. From what you remember, Bishamon and Yuki were talking about something... was it you? I slight pain shot through your head again, something that felt familiar. It's as if the pain is stopping me from remembering...
You gasp as you remember the conversation. They were talking about erasing your memories! Suddenly, your mind begins to clear and you recall going to the shrine where a males voice called to you. That was the first time you ever felt that pain. That means there's more that has been forgotten.
"[Y/N]? Are you alright?" Yuki pokes her head inside, startling you.
"U-uh yes! Everything is dandy!" You grimace at your choice of words. "I'll be out in a minute!" Yuki leaves you after confirming your safety. That must be another clue; Yuki being overprotective. You hurriedly get dressed in a kimono (Yuki makes you wear it in the house unfortunately) and rush to your room. The medical supplies were cleared out and new sheets were put on your bed. Before anything slips your mind, you begin to make a list.
1. Yuki has been erasing, or concealing I'm not sure, my memories since I was born it seems. Might have something to do with the voice I heard at the shrine.
2. Yuki seems even more overprotective and maybe even paranoid. I doubt she'll let me out into the human world now.
3. Bishamon seems to be in on it as well. She also mentioned a boy; is he the same boy I heard?
4. His voice sounded familiar... I want to hear him again...You hear footsteps approaching so you shove the notebook inside your bedside table, under mounds of drawings.
"[Y/N], I'm needed at a god's shrine so I'll return soon. Stay safe." Yuki's voice bleed through the door as she informs you of her plans. After she walks away, you get dressed in your western clothing. There's no way you could stay away from the human world, especially when you might be connected to it somehow.

You roam the streets of Japan, aimlessly walking. It was dumb of you to think that you would magically regain your memories. You let out yet another sigh and turn the corner. You had a slight feeling of being watched so you began to run, hiding in an alley. After waiting a bit, you walk in the other direction with a familiar sigh.
"This is absolutely useless." You grumble. You plop yourself down on Lord Tenjin's shrine and groan out loud, lying down on the hard steps.
"My my what have we here?" A smooth voice rings out. You tilt your head back to see Tenjin upside down. Flustered, you hurriedly stand up, brushing your clothes off.
"Lord Tenjin! Ohayō gozaimasu!" You bow a full 90 degrees. He chuckles at your formality before patting your head.
"No need to be so formal, my dear! I believe we will soon get very acquainted." He wiggles with tiny animated hearts floating around his head. You sweat drop, a bit intimidated.
A beautiful woman, guaranteed to be Tsuyu, comes behind the pervert god and chops his head.
"Tenjin, I believe you have matters to attend yo." She says with a sweet yet threatening smile. Tenjim turns blue and nods, hurrying away.
"I apologize for Lord Tenjin's behavior. What brings you here, little one?" Her aura has changed completely and you decide that you like her.
"I just stopped here to rest and I find comfort at shrines." She nods before tilting her head slightly.
"I believe you were supposed to be at your homestead?" Her comment makes you flush in shame. "I gather information from the trees and it seems as though Yuki would want you to stay home." You could here a motherly tone as she chides you.
"Run along, return back home before your caretaker realizes you have left." You can only nod and rush back home. Thankfully Yuki still wasn't back so you slipped inside without anyone noticing.
