Camila: I can't sleep babe. Are you up?

I'm currently staring up at my ceiling and it's 3:30 in the morning. I've already scrolled through tumblr for a good hour, tried reading one of my books and tried watching a movie but I can't sleep.

I'm so nervous and anxious about singing at the restaurant that I haven't slept at all yet so I finally resorted in texting Lauren. I sigh and turn over onto my side. I feel my phone vibrate and I don't hesitate to pick it up. I smile when I see that I have a text from Lauren.

Lauren: Hey I'm up. Are you ok?

Camila: Yeah I'm fine. My nerves are just keeping me up is all.

Camila: Do you think you could sneak over here maybe?

I feel a little nervous asking Lauren to come over right now but I'm craving her attention. I wait impatiently for a text from her for a couple moments before I feel my phone go off.

Lauren: Yeah I'll be over in about 5 minutes.

I inhale a deep breath and get up from my bed to walk downstairs so I can be sure Lauren gets in ok.

I move the curtain to the side so I can watch her walk here. Ever since the night she got ambushed by Chad and his friends, I'm not taking any chances. I see Normani's front door open and a soft smile grazes my lips at the sight of my girlfriend. She's in a school hoodie and a pair of sweat pants, her hair is in a messy bun and she looks beautiful even from this far away.

I open the door when she gets a few steps away and immediately engulf her in a hug when she approaches me.

"Hey baby." I hear Lauren say softly while she wraps her arms around my waist.

I pull away from the hug but keep my arms around her neck. "Hi Lo." I say before leaning in and placing a gentle kiss on her welcoming lips. When I pull away this time, I quietly close the door and interlace our hands then lead Lauren upstairs to my room.

I lead her to my bed and crawl under the covers. I pat the space next to me for her to join. She slips off her shoes and scoots in beside me.

I immediately cuddle up to her with my head on her chest and our legs tangled together. She makes gentle strokes through my hair and that gesture alone wipes away any nerves I was feeling about performing, only now I have a whole new set of nerves.

"Thank you for coming over Laur." I speak up after a few short moments of comfortable silence.

"Of course. Did you want to talk about it?" Lauren asks in her raspy tone making me crave her more and more by the second.

I lift my head up so that my eyes meet hers. "I just kept thinking about all of the people going to be at the restaurant and what if I mess up and maybe I shouldn't of agreed to this.. And-"

"Camila." Lauren cuts me off followed by a small chuckle. "Who cares what all of those people think. I've seen how amazing you are first hand and I know you're going to do great. Don't think about them and just focus on your close friends and family that will be there to support you." Lauren finishes with a soft kiss to my lips. When she pulls away I can't help but smile. Her simple words and just the fact that she's here with me have helped me so much already.

"You're right. If I completely humiliate myself though, can we just pretend none of this ever happened?" I suggest hopeful with my eyebrow quirked up in question.

"Sure, we can forget it all ever happened if you embarrass yourself, which I know you won't." Lauren says surely with a small smile tracing her lips. I pull my bottom lip in between my teeth and glance down at her inviting lips. I slowly ease in and feel my heart pounding through my chest. As her lips meet mine in a compassionate kiss I feel butterflies erupt in my stomach.
