~Chapter Twenty Eight~

Gloria's POV~

I woke up to the smell of eggs and bacon. I stretched my legs and snuck out of Shawn's arms.

I walked into the kitchen and was greeted by my mom, "Morning Glor."

"Morning." I say and kiss her head.

"I got a call from Mrs. Mendes last night and she invited us over for dinner tonight at 6 so be ready by then love."

"Absolutely, mother." I grab two plates of food and bring them to the living room.

"Get up sleeping beauty." I wave the plate under Shawn's nose.

"I'm up." He groans and takes the plate.

"So I was just informed by my mom that our families are having dined at your house tonight." I stuff my face with more eggs.

"Wonderful, I'm looking forward to it already."

"Me too." I say as we continue to eat.

After we eat Shawn leaves and I go upstairs.

I'm supposed to be reading this dumb book of vacation and I haven't even glanced at it, so why not while I have free time?

By the time I finished reading it was 4:30 so I decided to get ready.

I showered and then picked out my outfit.

I put on a black maxi skirt, and a floral crop top, and black sandals.

I then straightened my hair and did my makeup.

When I was don't it was 5:47 so I went downstairs to check up with mom.

She was dressed in a black and blue sundress and sandals, and was putting a fruit salad together.

"Hey Momma." I said as I got a juice box from the fridge.

"Hey Honey, you look wonderful!"

"You do to ma!" I kissed her cheek, "Do you need help with anything?"

"Yea can you make sure your brothers are ready and get them down here."

"No problem", I ran up the stairs.

After checking on my brothers and rounding them down stairs we walked down the street to the Mendes house.
