Chapter Five

I cried for what seemed like forever.

Larissa hugged me.

Me- 'Everyone I loved. gone. They're all gone.' Tears came faster and harder.

Larissa- 'Sweetie you still have me.' We cried together.

Me- 'Why does this always happen to me? First my dad, then my brother, now my mom.'

Larissa- 'I don't know Ambie. Its the circle of life I guess.'

Me- 'Yeah, Well, I think that it's my fault. Everything bad is happening to MY family.'

Larissa- 'Sweetie, you can't blame yourself.'

Me- 'I just wish i could've been there. I would have taken the bullet for her.' The tears came back harder than ever. 'She was all i had left!'

Larissa- 'I know. You can stay with me.'

Me- 'Thanks Rissa.'

Larissa- 'Anything for you.' She dried my tears

We went and found the others in the hall.

Nicole- 'How is she?'

Me- 'She's gone.' The tears came back.

Nicole- 'Oh my gosh. Amber I'm so sorry.'

Me- 'It's not your fault Nikki. This is just how the world is. I'm staying with Larissa till I'm old enough to get my own place. And right now. I just wanna go home.'

Larissa- 'We need to get Amber's stuff. Who wants to help?'

Yet again everyone was coming. We went to the cars. Everyone hugged me then jumped in the car. Everyone but Ross had hugged me.

I wanted to be alone for a little bit. I just sat there on the sidewalk staring at the sky. Wondering when the bad things would stop.

Then i hear my brother and mother talking to me.

Max (brother)- 'Amber. You might feel sad. But please. Don't try to kill yourself again. Like i said before. Things will get better.'

Mom- 'Honey. Your brother is right. Killing yourself won't help. Your life will get better. Starting with that boy.'

Me- 'I love you mom. I love you Max. I promise I won't try to kill myself.'

Mom, Max- 'Good. We're so sorry we left you alone. But we have to go' They disappeared.

I just sat there crying for a while. Until I felt a pair of arms around me. I look up and see Ross.

Ross- 'Look, I'm sorry. We can cancel our date if you want to.'

Me- 'No. It's ok. I need something to cheer me up.' I tried to smile. But the tears took over.

Ross- 'I will do anything to make you feel better. Anything.'

Me- 'Then. Let's have the date somewhere that cheers me up.'

Ross- 'Where's that?'

Me- 'Santa Monica Pier.'

Ross- 'That's all? I could take you anywhere you wanna go. And you chose Santa Monica?'

Me- 'That's the last place me and my brother went before he died. Its the one place I feel happy.'

Ross- 'Well. If it makes you happy. Ok. I'll pick you up at 1 tomorrow.'

Me- 'Ok.' I kissed him on the cheek.

We went to the cars. Ross helped me in.

*ROSS'S POV*

*THE JOHNSON HOUSE*

Amber- 'Home sweet home.'

I helped Amber out of the car. We went inside.

Amber- 'Trouble! Come here boy!'

Me- 'Who's Trouble?'

Amber- 'My Dog.'

Me- 'He isn't as bad as his name right?'

Amber- 'Maybe. Maybe Not.'

Me- *GULP*

In ran a little Yorkshire Terrier.

Amber- 'How's my favorite boy been?' Trouble barked. 'We're getting a new home Trubby Wubby. We are gonna live with Rissa!' Trouble wagged his tail happily.

Me- 'Why don't we go pack up your stuff?'

Amber- 'We probably should. Trouble go get you stuff boy.' And with that Trouble was off.

Me- 'Where's your room?'

Amber- 'Back there. Umm.....Can you stay here for a little bit?'

Me- 'Ok...'

She wheeled to her room. I followed slowly. She reached her room and went in. I peeked through the door.

Me- 'I knew you had a thing for me.' I said pointing to all the posters and pictures of me and my Minecraft skin.

Amber- 'I did. Until I met you.'

Me- 'Mhhhmmm. You expect me to believe that?' Amber stuck her tongue out at me.

She pulled each one of the posters down and stuffed them carefully in a bag. Then she started packing her clothes.

Amber- 'Done. Trouble! Bring me your stuff!'

Trouble ran in with a doggie bed filled with toys, and dog treats, and a doggie bowl.

Amber- 'Good boy!' She said ruffling his ears. 'Come on let's go now.'

We grabbed her stuff and went back to the cars.

Amber kissed her hand and placed it on the door to the house.

Amber- 'I will miss this place.'
