Chapter Three - The Interview

"Hello" the man repeated, his voice sounding even more attractive this time.

"Sorry, hello. My name is Emma, Emma Swan. I just saw the job vacancy for a nanny job you are offering? I've just moved here from Vancouver in Canada" I said, nervously.

"Oh hello Miss Swan" the man replied "Yes, I recall my advertisement. Do you have any previous experience with children?" he asked.

"In fact, yes I have. I worked as a nanny back in Vancouver" I replied

"Wow, well that's amazing. All the other applicants just say they've looked after young family members" he said, laughing slightly.

I laughed a little.

"That used to happen a lot at home too". I replied

"So, are you available to meet tomorrow to properly discuss the job... hours etc." he replied to me.

"Y-yeah I am. I'm staying at Granny's Bed and Breakfast; I think it has a little Diner attached if you want to me-" I said before he kindly interrupted me.

"Say no more, say no more. I know the place" he said "What time is best for you?" He asked in a kind tone.

"Would 1 be okay for you?" I asked nervously "It's just that I have an appointment at Storybrooke Elementary School to enroll my son" I replied.

"Yes Miss Swan, that will be completely fine" he replied in a kind tone before hanging up.

I put my phone down and a huge grin grew on my face.

I then got up off the bed and walked into Henry's bedroom.

"Guess what kiddo?" I said, gently ruffing his hair with my hand.

"What mom?" he replied, sorting his hair out.

"I've only went and got an interview with the man that was advertising the nanny job in the newspaper" I said, still smiling from before.

"Really?!" Henry shouted as he jumped up and hugged me.

"Yes really!" I replied "It's at 1. I need to go straight there after your enrollment meeting at school".

"Oh, that?!" Henry replied, rolling his eyes.

"Yes Henry, that" I replied, laughing.

I looked down at the time on my watch, it was already 10:30.

"Well, you better be getting to sleep, it's 10:30 and we need to be up and ready by ten at the latest" I said, kissing him on the cheek.

"Okay mom, night!" he said, getting into bed.

I then headed into the bathroom and had a quick shower before I got ready for bed.

I climbed into bed and went to sleep.

I woke up to the sound of the alarm, I rubbed my eyes and slowly sat up. I gave myself 5 minutes to wake up properly before getting out of bed and heading to the bathroom. I quickly washed my face and teeth, also curling my hair but ensuring that the curls are loose – I like them more natural.

I then walked into Henry's room to wake up but when I opened his door he was already awake and by the sounds of it watching some sort of Minecraft video on YouTube.
