It Was Just A Video...

chapter twelve.

okay so this is the party scene and it basically lasts all night so this will be a pretty long chapter :)

Troye's POV:

I smile a bit when I see Connor easily conversing with Jenn. He was nervous about this because he hasn't talked to Jenn for a while - they didn't even talk when we went to that bar for our 4 month anniversary. They had gotten in a giant fight at VidCon this year which was in June. I remember it was about something petty and small, I can't remember exactly though. I do know what happened.

It was in our hotel room, the one Connor and I had decided to share. I remember I was exhausted that day and Connor wanted to hang out with Jenn because they had gotten a lot closer lately. They were hanging out and just eating and whatever. Then I fell asleep for who knows how long and I woke up later that night. Jenn was still in our room with Connor but this time they were yelling. I opened my eyes a bit more but just enough so the light didn't blind me. Jenn was screaming with tears in her eyes and Connor had his back towards my direction. I could tell he was crying too, though, because every time he yelled, his voice faltered. About ten minutes later, Jenn grabbed her stuff and left, slamming to door. 

I pretended to sleep to see what Connor would do. He simply sat on the bed and put his head in his hands. I felt so bad. I didn't move an inch, though.

Now that she was here and they were getting along fine, I could tell he was happy. He smiled so much. He was super happy for Jenn and Andrew who had just started dating about a month ago. He wished them luck and they talked about all four of us going on a double-date which I felt extremely sad about because we would be leaving. 

a/n yes i changed some peoples ages so they can drink so just assume they're 21 or 22 unless i say something else. also dont get pissed off because whos dating who in this story, thanks.

"Can I play music?" Jenn asks. Connor nods, bringing her to our loudest speaker, which was really loud. Luckily, it was allowed to have parties and play loud music at this apartment because we lived close to holloywood and the people who live here are usually famous people or have parties all the time. And there's a bar across the street so what do you expect. 

Jenn smiles when she put her phone on bluetooth and scrolls through her music. She looks up at me and our eyes lock. Confused I look back with an inquiring stare. All she does is smirk and press play. 

In one terrifying instant, TALK ME DOWN from my album starts playing. My eyes shoot to hers and she smiles as she dances around. I smile a bit because she was just jumping around. 

I wanna sleep next to you, 

Connor looks at me.

But that's all I wanna do right now

Connor smiles walking towards me.

And I wanna come home to you,

Jenn leans into Andrew's face.

But home is just a room full of my safest sounds.

Jenn and Andrew kiss. 

Cause you know that I can't trust myself with my 3am shadow

Connor gets to me and puts his hand behind my neck.

I'd rather fuel a fantasy than deal with this alone. 

Connor and I kiss.

Jenn continues to play my songs and Lauren, Andrea, and Arden dance and sing along. More people start to arrive. The rest of the o2l boys arrive and Jc walks in and immediately sings along to LOST BOY. I laugh hugging him. Ever since I met Connor I've been exposed to many more YouTubers which I thought was great.
