Next morning

I woke up early but not bright. To wake myself up more and to smell floral, in my own bathroom, I had a tub waiting for me to get in. So I filled the tub up and poured lavender bath salt inside.

I got undressed out of my night gown and slipped inside the hot steamy tub. I let my skin soak up the mixture of the salt and water and the smell to dissolve into my skin. I stayed there for quite a while until the water starts to get cold or warm. Then I hopped out and grabbed a towel.

I dried myself but laid in my bed naked for few minutes. Just to rest a little and take a deep breath in then out and then got ready start my day.

I got dressed in a dark blue flare silk dress with a lace top half. I only put on rings just cause I'm not really a big fan for juicy,fat jelwery. Also i threw on a small simple necklace. I cleaned my mouth and ate and began my day.

I was only ready for half the day. The other half was the ball.

In the castle I went to go see my friend Lucy. She lives here because her father is a noble for the king.

" Mary!" She said happily surprised as she opened the door.

" Hey" I said. I looked down the hallway that leads to another hallway. To see a boy staring at me as he was walking pass. His hair was blonde and gorgeous and his eyes were blue like the sea and like no other. I stared at him also in surprised, but I cut the weirdness out and looked back at Lucy.

I didn't know him. It was impolite to stare at someone anyway. So I wasn't a hypocrite about it since I did stare at him too. So I let it go.

" Come on Mary!" Lucy said excited. I don't know what we were doing but it looks like anarchy, that's setup out back of the castle.

"Mary, how's life?" She said while fixing her arrow on her bow.

" Nothing really." I wasn't lying, I really have been doing nothing. " Just mother bothering me about marriage still. That's all."

" I know you don't won't too." She said aiming.

I laughed. " I tell you everything."

I tried to put the arrow on the bow and aim but, the aim was terrible and off. I missed the target and the arrow went far into the woods.

" Oops. I'll retrieve." I walked into the woods looking for the arrow, I couldn't find it.

" My aim is horrible. Ahhh!" A man out of the woods. He pushed me against the tree and covered my mouth. He had a mask on, but he was light on his voice.

" Hey beautiful, how have you been?" He kept swinging his brown hair. Like I was supposed to fall for it. " Your going to enjoy your time with me." He was trying to fill me up. " Scream, I'll kill you. Understand?" I nodded. I didn't know this man. He started to pull my dress up. I couldn't bare to watch, I looked away.

" Mary!" Lucy called out. The man noticed lucy was coming.

" I thought you were alone." He said to himself. He whispered in my ear. " I'll be back." And left.

"Mary, what are you doing?" Startled on my face. I had to answer back.

" Umm - I - umm couldn't find the .... Arrow." I stuttered.

" That's ok, forget it. Go return. You look tired." She said hanging on my arm.

" OK. I'll return to my chambers and sleep." I looked back around and saw lucy still shooting. " what are you doing? Aren't you coming with?"

" No, I'll stay out here and shoot some more." She said aiming.

" No, you must come." I said pulling her arm.

"Why?" She said stupefied.

" Be.. Cause.. I don't think its safe out here no more. Did you hear about the flies that's eats people skin?

She shook her head.

"Well, they are. And they're traveling this way, towards us. In groups. Ooo... I think I hear your dad calling you. Let's go" I looked like I scared her a little. So we decided to stay in for the rest of the day.
