Before I even realized what had happened, Chat Noir picked me up bridal style, and carried me behind a pillar, for safety. He looked at me, his eyes bearing straight through me. "Do NOT come out of here, unless I tell you. Do you understand?" he said, quite harshly. I had never been afraid of Chat Noir, but now, his voice sent a shiver down my spine, and I nodded shakily. The Absorber was still fazed when Chat reemerged to fight again. The villain's eyes flickered with fear for a split second, but it was noticeable. He wiped the fear and replaced it with a totally ticked off look. Chat didn't care. I'd never seen him so angry ever, as long as we've been partners. The two enemies faced off in silence for what felt like an eternity. "You think you are so brave, Chat Noir, but you can't do anything without your precious Ladybug. You just a lonely pussy cat who's lost his ball of yarn," the Absorber snarled. Chat's disposition didn't even flinch. He smirked, "Yeah, you're right about that, I can't be a super hero without her, I'd fail. But she can't do it without me either. And I'd rather face a thousand villains like you and fail with her, than win one without her. She's my Lady, I love her, and you won't take her away from me." My eyes widened as a tear ran down my cheek. "Chat..." I whispered. Suddenly, Chat Noir extended his staff, launching it straight at the Absorber's gut, knocking the wind out of him. Now that the bad guy was on his back, Chat took the chance, and tried to yank the shield off the villain's arm. The Absorber chuckled slightly. "You can't break it, it's too strong." Chat gave another signature smirk. "Maybe I can't, but," he looked at me. I nodded, standing up. "L-Lucky Charm!" I said, cringing from the pain of standing and yelling simultaneously. Down to my hands dropped a...yo-yo? With Chat Noir's emblem on it. I looked at it confused, but tossed it to Chat, who gave an equally confused look. But realization dawned on his face. He slung the yo-yo down a couple of times, them flung it toward The Absorber, who looked up in shock. The yo-yo, travelling faster than a speeding bullet, wrapped a half-dozen times around the shield. Chat yanked, and the shield ripped clean off the Absorber's arm. It landed with a CLANG! at Chat's feet. He raised his open palm, yelling, "CATACLYSM!" The Absorber's eyes widened in disbelief as his supposedly "strong" shield disintegrated, the Akuma flying away. "Ladybug, now!" Chat yelled. "You've done enough damage, little Akuma," my yo-yo spinning faster and faster. "I am freeing you from evil!" I flung the yo-yo at the Akuma, caught it, and the yo-yo came back to me. "Gotcha." I tapped the top, releasing the insect. "Bye-bye, pretty butterfly." Chat tossed me the yo-yo. I caught it and threw it into the air yelling, "Miraculous Ladybug!" The magic returned the people who had been "absorbed," along with several desks and a confused janitor. Thomas was lying on the floor, looking dazed, wondering where his sandwich went. "Here," Chat said, handing it to him. Thomas nodded his head in thanks, and I sat next to him. "Hey, you okay, kid?" I asked. He shrugged, "I'm just tired of being bullied for my weight. It's not easy being the odd-man-out." I smiled sympathetically. "You know, nobody is perfect," Chat said, offering Thomas his hand, "You just need to find where you're comfortable and not listen to what people like Chloe, who can't find their way out of an empty room, have to say." Thomas took his hand, stood up, and smiled at the two of us. As I stood up as well, he said, "Thanks for saving everyone, including me." And he sprinted away. I raised my fist. "Pound it!" But Chat didn't oblige. He just looked up at me sadly. "Chat, what's wrong?" I asked. "Y-you, could have been seriously hurt, and it would have been my fault. Ladybug, I know I joke and mess around a lot, but the feelings I have for you are real. If something happened to you, under my watch, I don't know what I would do with myself." I felt more tears welling in my eyes, like when I heard his speech to the Absorber, when our Miraculous' beeped. "Hurry, you've only got a minute," he said, starting to sprint away. " I grabbed his arm to stop him. He looked back at me, his face confused, my hand still on his arm. "Ladybug?" he said, worried. No one was around, as classes had gone home, due to the super-villain. And, I was ready. "What's wrong?" he asked. I put my hands on his face, gently, staring into his eyes. Those green eyes, like a fire. I pulled him into a hug, gripping him tightly. "You stupid cat, making me feel like I'm something special, when you're the most amazing person-cat-whatever- that I've ever met," I finished, pulling him tighter. I heard him sniffle quietly and hug me back. "You are special, my Lady." I heard our Miraculous' beep again. He pulled apart, trying to get away again. "Shoot, you have to hurry or you're going to change-" He stopped suddenly. Probably because my lips were pressed against his. My hands clasped his neck, pulling him in, and his hands hesitantly settled at my waist, pulling me closer.  I could feel the magic finally wear off, our identities now revealed, but I didn't care. I love this boy, and I wasn't gonna lose him.
