"Apo."

"Yes lola?"

Good night lola."

"Good night apo."

She made her way to RJ who was still engaged in conversations with her family.

Apir brad!"

"OKAY FINE!"

"Anyway, matutulog na ako. RJ, I'll show you to your room."

"Sige.

He stood up and followed Dani up stairs. There rooms were right next to each other and they had a common rest room that connected both rooms. This room reminded him of his own in Laguna. It was nice and neat, exactly how he liked it. The walls were white with blue trimmings. There was air conditioning which was something he was pleased about, it was the summer season after all, and the air here was different compared to Dani's hut where it was colder.

"You're stuff is already there sa empty cabinet. Get settled, maliligo lang ako. I'll be in the other room if you need anything."

"Thanks Dani."

"No problem."

She went out of his room to give him some private time. He then proceeded to unpacking his things from his back pack. He noticed his phone inside his water proof gadget bag. He was wondering if it was the right time to open it now, it has been awhile since he has. Maybe he would just call his dad just to let him know he was safe. It has been a week since they last spoke, Richard Sr. probably was worried sick.

He turned his phone on and didn't turn the data on to avoid social media updates from kicking in. It didn't take awhile before messages came flooding in. They were mostly from the loved ones he had left behind, a mix of caring and angry messages he didn't care to read. He dialed his dad's number and it only took 4 rings before he could pick up.

"Ganon ba? Nako kamusta ka na? Nakakain ka naman ba ng maigi?"

"Oo naman pa. Ako pa ba? Okay naman ako. Wag kang mag alala masyado."
