today writing this chapter to make up for it.

The look in her eyes when she saw her was something Dani would never forget. She was helpless, crouched on her bottom like a kid who lost her parents at MOA, crying, pleading for someone to find her. She pitied Maine, she hurt for her, but just as she would never want anyone to see her like that, she would stick to her promise and wouldn't tell a soul about the moment both of them had shared.

She didn't want to betray her, she was already so wounded as it was and as much as she loved RJ, she respected Maine.

RJ was cleaning up while getting ready for dinner when he noticed that the bottle of wine they had bought had already been emptied, he went to the sink and found two wine goblets unwashed. In the trash there was a box of pizza that wasn't there this morning before he left.

"Nin?"

"Yeap?"

"May bisita ka ba kanina?"

"Oh yeah. Why?"

"Wala lang. Hindi mo sinabi."

"Ah Lisa was here, namiss ako bigla eh. We caught up for a little bit and then she had to leave din agad."

Lie.

"Oh I see."

He quickly dismissed the inkling he felt and trusted the words that came out of Dani's mouth. Dani hated lying, it was something she never got used to, especially when she lied to him, RJ, someone who trusted her with all his heart, the man she loved with all of hers.

She felt guilty, but she made a promise, and it was something she was going to keep.

"Thank you for the flowers. They really are quite beautiful."

"You're welcome. Kung ako lang ang masusunod, I'd give you all the lilies in the world."

"Asoooooos, nag papacute. Anong meron Warty? What's with all the sappiness?"

"Bakit ba? I can't miss you and bring you flowers?"

"I didn't say that. Nakaka panibago lang."

"Well ganito kasi yun, earlier when I was driving back from Tagaytay, I passed by this really beautiful garden and they sold these beautiful flowers at ikaw agad ang unang pumasok sa isip ko and I know how much you love lilies and nature all together so binili ko to. Isa pa namiss kita."

"WEH? Di nga?"

"Alam mo ang hirap mong pasayahin. Hali ka nga dito."

He pulled her in again for another hug and Dani felt her heart jump from Earth to Neverland.

Being the petite girl that she was, she loved how his towering height encompassed her small form. She loved the way he smelled, loved the way he felt, loved how protectively he wrapped his arms around her, loved that she was given the honor to be the luckiest girl in the world to have him in his arms knowing that millions of other girls would have killed to be in her shoes.

"Again with the cheesy romantic stuff. Ano ba talagang meron Warty?"

"I just want to thank you, that's all."

"Sus, for what?"

"For making me happy."

"Naks naman."
