Chapter 5: Die For You

"The writings on the wall..." Ashley said as he ran his across my bedroom wall.
"I'm screaming out. Can you hear me?" Andy said as he read one if them out loud.
"We are the Fallen Angels" He read another.
"We are the in betweens, cast down as sons of war. Struck to this earth like lightning, from this world we're torn. We won't cause the pain, of living out their law. Take joy in who you are, we know our wings our flawed. We're bored to death in heaven, and all alone in hell. WE ONLY WANT TO BE OURSELVES!" and another...
"Hey, wait a minute. These are lyrics to some of our songs. Are you a fan?"
"Nooooooo." I said sarcastically showing off my t-shirt and pushing the sleeve up to show of my mini "OUTLAW" tattoo on my wrist.
"Wow. Be careful Ashley. This one might ACTUALLY be yours. She acts just like you. Such a smartass." Andy said with a chuckle.
"She actually might be. I mean...she looks a LOT like you though Ashley..." Jake added. Jinxx and CC nodded in agreement.
"I think we sould DNA test it. Don't you?" CC asked Ashley.
"That is, of course you're ok with it." Ashley turned and asked me.
"Wait what. Oh yeah, of course. Sorry I was off in my own little world. I was thinking of what it would be like if Ashley Purdy was actually my dad. I mean...I'd live with you right?" I replied, a little dazed.
"Of course. I've been looking for my daughter for 16 years. If you're her, you'll move in with me ASAP! And I mean hell, I kinda like you. You said your mom left a few weeks ago?" Ashley said.
"Yeah..." I admitted.
"I might just adopt you." He said.
"Wait what?" That comment suprised me.
"Yeah. I want you as a daughter. Without parents, if you're not actually mine, it would be perfectly legal for me to adopt you. I want to go get this tested right now!" Ashley said, kind of excited. His excitement was outcast to every other member of the band. Pretty soon all six of us were on the Black Veil Brides van on the way to a place to get our DNA compared. The band thought that since it was a long drive, almost 6 hours, that they would pass the time by playing some songs and doing like a little mini concert. Just like every time I hear a Black Veil Brides song I started singing. The first one they decided to play was "Fallen Angels", my favorite. Pretty soon the music stopped. I was so confused because they weren't playing, and they were all staring at me with wide eyes. I was a little scared because I thought my singing was terrible and that they were horrified.
"Sing that again." Andy told me. So I did...

"Yep...she's definitely yours Ashley. I thought she talked like you, but that made me damn near positive. She's sings just like you, but a whole lot better. It's a lot smoother, and really clear, but you're definitely there." Andy said as he turned to Ashley.
