^^Bailey's Dress^^

"YOU ARE SO ANNOYING!" I was standing on our stairs yelling at my older brother. "WELL I WOUNDN'T NEED TO BE 'ANNOYING' IF YOU WOULD JUST LISTEN TO ME!"

"WELL MAYBE IF YOU LISTENED TO ME WE WOULN'T BE HAVING THIS ARGUMENT!" I ran up the stairs and slammed the door, locking it behind me. I leant up against it and took a breath.

"Bailey open up the door, we need to talk about this."

"There is nothing to talk about. Mum and Dad aren't going to be here for Christmas, they never are."

"Just open up." I stood up and unlocked it before running and jumping onto my bed.

Jack came and sat down on my bed, leaning up against the headboard with his feet still on the floor. "I know that they are never here for Christmas but they have to work."

"But the other parents get to be home with their children on Christmas. Mum and Dad have been leaving us here with the twins alone since we were 12. And before that Aunty Mai would come over and look after us."

"Bailey, Mum and Dad wish they could be here, they really could..."

"Why are you defending them?" I stood up and looked down at my brother.

When he is frustrated he goes really red. He takes after my mum. He has dirty blonde hair, brown eyes, he is tall and slim. I on the other hand, I take after no one. I have auburn hair, blue eyes, I'm short and don't really have a shape. The twins, who are identical, take after my mum and dad. Michael has brown hair and brown eyes; Thomas has dirty blonde hair and green eyes.

"Bailey can me and your dad talk to you?" I looked at Jack who narrowed his eyes. I groaned and rolled my eyes. "I hate you being older." I walked over to my door and unlocked it. My parents walked in, looking as spectacular as usual. Mum with her dirty blonde hair, lightly curled, falling over her shoulders, her dress hugging her in all the right places. My dad with his brown with tiny bit of grey hair gelled and his dress shirt and suit pants all perfect. "Bailey I need you to understand why we are going."

"I get that but you always go on Christmas, to be honest, you are never here, the twins and Jack are the only ones who are completely oblivious to the fact that your never here."

"Bailey leaving isn't easy."

"Well why do you do it then. If leavings so hard then why do you make it look so easy?"

"Because we don't have a choice, do you think that you would have all of this if we didn't work?"

"That's not the point. Christmas is meant to be for family. Do you know what Thomas wished for on Christmas Eve last year?"

"Alli, don't tell them."

"He wished that you would just be home for one Christmas. He doesn't remember one Christmas with you." I walked over to me closet grabbing out a book. "Take this and look through it." My dad took the book. "What's in it?"

"It's full of pictures from our birthdays and Christmases." My mum took the book, flicking through it at a rapid pace. "Taylor, we aren't in any of these pictures." A tear fell from my mum's eye before she gave to book back to my dad and ran out the door. "Bailey, look what you have done. I don't care for your reasoning's, but you will apologise to your mother at dinner tonight. We will be discussing this manor more deeply before the Jeffersons get here, whether you like it or not." I nodded before having the book given back to me. I put it down on my desk and looked over at Jack. "Please don't leave as well." He shook his head before opening his arms wide. I ran over and wrapped my arms around him and started crying. "I would never leave you, even if you are the most annoying sister ever, I would never leave." I nodded against his shoulder smiling. He pulled away and held my shoulders at arm length. "Man I know you are 1 year younger but man you need to have a tiny growth spurt so I don't have to squat."

"I get mums genes there." He nodded and gave a little giggle. "Now I have to go and get dressed for the Jeffersons to arrive and so do you. So I guess ill leave you to get dressed."

He left the room shutting the door behind him. I grabbed my phone opening up my music, before walking into the bathroom. I plugged it into my speaker and got into the nice and warm shower. Once I was done, I put my hair up in a towel so that it can dry and wrapped a towel around myself. I turned my speakers up so that I could here it through my whole room. I walked over to my closet and turned on the light. I looked through al my dresses before pulling out this new one that I brought the other day. It was white and had a sort of criss cross pattern along the neck area. I put it on the bed and went into the bathroom sitting down at the small desk type thing and got out my hair dryer and curler. I blow-dried my hair and then added light curls through my hair. I sighed at myself in the mirror before doing my makeup.

I walked out of my bathroom and went back into my closet picking out a pair of nude platform heels. I slipped on my underwear before putting on my dress then adding the heels. I looked at myself in the mirror before leaving my room. I walked over to Jack's room knocking on the door, it flew open and Jack was standing there without a shirt on. I covered my eyes and smiled. "Put a shirt on." I heard Jack laugh. "I would if I knew which one to wear." I removed my hands and walked into his room. "What are my choices?" I looked down on the bed to see three shirts. A blue one, a pink and yellow one then a white one. "Well we can get rid of this one, and burn it." I threw the pink one at Jack. I looked at the other two shirts, before picking up the white one. "Wear this one, it'll make us look good." He nodded before putting on. He hung the blue one up then walked out of his room, with me following. We walked down the stairs as the twins ran up. We walked into the living room to see mum and dad sitting down on one of the two couches we have.

Jack and I sat down on the other on facing our parents. "Look Bailey we get why your made we really do but it's what we have to do." I nodded and looked down. Jacks hand found mine and grabbed on. "I have to tell everyone something." I looked up at Jack then over to my parents. "What's wrong honey?"

"I have decided to move out. I have already brought a apartment with one of my friends and I'm moving in on Monday." I sat there shocked. I let go of Jacks hand and put it in my lap. "May I be excused?" My Mum looked up at me with an expression, which looked like she was almost sorry for me, and then nodded. I stood up and smoothed out my dress before walking towards the stairs. I got halfway up the stairs before I heard Jack calling my name. I turned around to see him right behind me. "Are you okay?"

"That was a big bombshell to drop Jack. First Mum and Dad not going to be here for Christmas and now your moving out on Monday. Jack that's in a day."

"If I had known that Mum and Dad weren't going to be here for Christmas I would have postponed the moving date."

"You said you were never going to leave Jack." I sat down on the step and saw Jack sit down next to me. "How about you hear me out." I looked up. "I am not going to leave you."

"But."

"Hear me out." I nodded. "How about you move with me. Yeah you wont have the whole own bathroom or walk-in-wardrobe but you won't have to deal with Mum and Dad as well as the twins always in your business." He stood up and held his hand out. "So what's your decision?" I smiled up at him and grabbed his hand. "Guess we'll start packing tomorrow." I gave him a hug just as the doorbell went off. "Lets go and deal with this dinner." I nodded before grabbing his arm stopping him. "When are we going to tell Mum and Dad?"

"I already told them that I was going to ask you, and I told them that you would most likely say yes." I giggled before linking my hand in his, and waling down the rest of the stairs.

We walked around the corner towards the dining room to see Mr and Mrs Jefferson standing there. "Oh and look at these two, they could be twins. Jack how are you honey?" Jack gave Mrs Jefferson a hug while I said hello to Mr Jefferson. As we walked past each other Jack gave me the 'too much perfume and while she hugged me I almost suffocated' face. I stifled a giggle and walked over to Mrs Jefferson. Jack was right, way too much perfume. "Bailey, you look so grown up now. You are so beautiful. Surely you have a boyfriend."

"I hope not." By now everyone had joined us, Jack standing next to me. "No Mrs Jefferson, I don't think I will have one for ages now that I'm moving in with Jack on Monday." Mrs Jefferson looked at us both of us before looking at our parents. "Your letting them both go at the same time?" My dad just gave a simple nod but my mum came over and gave as both a side hug. "I know my babies are growing up."

"Who's ready to have some dinner?"
