The next morning I woke with the sound of a door being shut. I looked around and saw that I was in the bath. I looked at Liam, who was still asleep with my legs lying on his chest. I shook one of his legs to wake him up but it didn't work. I moved my legs and slowly got out of the bath. I filled up the cup that was sitting on the counter up with cold water and threw it on him. "What the hell?" He sat up and looked directly at me. "What was that for?"
"I think my brothers home and you weren't waking up." Liam groaned and got up out of the bath. We walked out of the bathroom and into the kitchen. Jack was standing there making coffee. I sat down on the barstool on the left and pulled Liam into the one next to me, giving Jack and me as much space as possible and if anything went wrong, Liam was there. Jack sat down and slid a cup of coffee towards Liam and me. "Thanks." Jack's eyes wondered down to my hand then back up to Liam. "What happened to her hand?"
"She cut it on some glass which was on the table."
"Is it okay, do you need to take her to the doctor?"
"It's fine." I pushed my coffee away and stood up from my seat. "Bailey?"
"I'm going to my room." Liam nodded and turned back around to face Jack. I walked back into my room and sat down on my bed. I just sat there on my bed staring at my door. There was knock. I got p and ran to my door opening it. My face dropped to see that it was Liam. I grabbed his arm and pulled him in. "If you wanted me that bad, you could've just asked."
"Now is no time for your immature jokes. What the hell is going on?"
"He's still pissed Bailey." As soon as he said that I started crying. I leant into Liam and sobbed. "We've never had a fight like this. It sucks."
"He just needs time. Just give him time and it'll be okay, I promise." I nodded and stepped away from Liam. "Is that why you came here to tell me what is going on?"
"Nah, Jack told me that I need to go grocery shopping. I want you to come with me."
"Why don't you take Jack?"
"Because he's such a buzzkill when he's pissed off."
"Then why don't you go alone?"
"Because that's no fun. Please?" I nodded and opened my door. "I need to get ready Liam." He nodded and walked out. "How long do I have?"
"As long as you need, because I'm not going alone."
"Damm that used to work."
I walked to my wardrobe and pulled out a pair of light blue denim jeans, I pulled a white singlet and my black Nikes. I put them on, before sitting in front of my mirror. I put on my makeup and pulled my hair up into a plain high ponytail. I grabbed a brown bag from their hook and my wallet. I walked out of my room. I grabbed my phone off of the counter as well as the list. I put them in my bag and walked into the living room. "Ready to go?" Liam looked up from the TV and got up slipping his phone and wallet into his back pockets. "Yep." I nodded and followed him out of the front door.
Once we got there, heaps of people were already out doing their own shopping. "Can we take the elevator? I can't be bothered to walk." I nodded and hit the up button. We walked into the elevator and noticed that we were the only ones. Halfway up, an alarm started blaring and the elevator stopped and all the lights went out. I looked at Liam. "What the hell is going on?" He shrugged before looking out the elevator; I walked over and stood next to him. "I'm so confused." An announcement came over the speakers.
'To anyone who is in the elevators, this is a lockdown; we advise that you sit down and stay silent. Thank you.'
The announcement stopped and I dropped to the ground. Liam sat next to me and wrapped his arm around my shoulders. "I'm so scared Liam."
