Chapter 20: Ice Skating

Shawn's Pov-

     The month now is December and Camila and I have been extremely great. Our relationship has definitely grown and gotten stronger. My album handwritten came out a few months ago and it was number one for an entire week. My single stitches was also #1 on billboard which was phenomenal and it even went platinum. It's all because of my fans who have made my dreams a reality. As for Camila she's in her senior year now and she's taking it day by day along with her best friend
Dinah-Jane.
     It's almost Christmas which is Camila's favorite time of the year, call me evil....but mine is October. Mila and I are going ice skating today along with our friends Ian and Dinah. Mila and I have been trying to set them up on dates but one of them usually cancels. NOT THIS TIME. This time we'll be going on double dates so Camila and I will be there to make sure they both show up.
      I park in Camila's driveway and send her a text so she can come outside. Two minutes later she comes out and hops into my jeep. "Hey babe." I said as I gave her a peck on the lips. "Shaaaaaawn" she groaned as she took out her phone to check her lipstick. I laughed at her "Relax, I didn't mess up your lipstick." I said as she calmed down. "Okay so Dinah texted me and she said to meet them there because they both have their own rides!" Mila said as I nodded.
      After a lengthy thirty minute drive we arrived at the ice rink. I always play hockey with my boys so I'm really good at skating but Camila on the other hand.... Camila can barely walk on a solid floor let alone skating on ice. It's okay though I'll teach her. Ian sees Mila and I and he approaches us. "DJ!!!" Camila yells as she waves her arm around and Dinah rushes to her. We all grab the skate shoe sizes we need and we sit down on the bench to put them on. "Shawn no- no!" Camila says as she refuses to stand up in fear of falling down. "Camila I've got you!" I say as I get up and hold out my hands for her to get up. I was about to turn around and tell Ian something but I realized him and Dinah had already begun skating and they were flirting all over the place... I felt like a proud parent. "Shawn I feel like I'll break my legs!" Camila said as she stood up and gripped onto my arms with every fiber in her tiny body. "Mila! If you hold me this tightly then we'll both end up falling." I said as I was laughing because Camila being afraid was actually kinda cute.
      After fifteen minutes of me skating and TRYING to teach Camila she finally gave up. "Shawn I'm tired I'm just gonna-" she said as she sat on the floor of the ice skating rink. I started laughing uncontrollably "Camila people are going to trip over you get up." I said as I skated by her and I held out my hand which she took and got up. "Yeah you're right I wouldn't wanna cause any accid- OH MY GOD!!!" Camila says as I hear a big loud thump on the ground. Of course.... Camila fell. Dinah and Ian came skating towards us and they started laughing and Camila kept telling them to 'Shut up!!'. I laughed a bit too but I knew Camila would kill me if I didn't tell them to stop. "Alright guys, how about I help Camila up and we all go to the fast food restaurant next door?" I said as Ian and Dinah agreed and went to take off their skates. I held out my hand for Mila as she struggled to get up. "You know, when you took me on our first date we went rollerblading and that was so much easier for me I thought this would be the same!" Camila said as she took off her skates. I laughed at her comment. "It's okay you'll get the hang of it next time babe." I said as she looked at me with a crazy expression on her face. "NEXT TIME? IM NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN!!!" she blurted out and we both started laughing.

Camila's Pov-

     The double date Shawn Dinah Ian and I went on today was sooooo cute. I mean other than the fact that I fell on my ass in front of everybody. Shawn was spending the night at my house and I was happy because I'm usually the one who stays at his house overnight because he gets homesick very easily. I know what you're thinking, our houses are five minutes away and he should be used to it from all the touring but NOPE! Shawny is a mamas boy and it doesn't take a lot for Shawn to miss home. "Shaaaawn come here." I said as I laid down in my bed and indicated I wanted him to sleep next to me. Shawn took off his shirt and laid on my bed. "You know I don't think I've ever slept with you with your shirt on." I said as Shawn laughed. "Well Camila, I don't think I've ever slept with you with your shirt off." he smirked. "Oh shut up" I said as I rested my head on his chest. I could hear his heartbeat.
    I wish I could freeze this moment forever. It's times like these that I miss Shawn the most. I know what you're thinking 'why do you miss him if he's literally right there with you?' well that's the thing. I don't know how long Shawn's going to be with me. He could get called for a mini radio tour or a cd signing at any month and god knows how much I hated it when he toured. I'm more than happy for him but our relationship basically gets put on hold for his career. THAT is why I never take any moment I share with Shawn for granted.
