Jackson-
I quickly turned back around, and shut my eyes. I had hoped that by finding Amelia, these nightmares would end. Those nightmares of once again having her walk under the trees with me, and us living happily ever after knowing that that wouldn’t happen for a long long time...that is, until I felt her soft caress on my cheek. Looking down, I tilted my head into her hand, feeling her warmth surround me. She removed her hand and I instantly felt a chill set it, until her arms encompassed my waist, hugging me from behind. I felt my sadness slowly leaving, as I finally met her eyes, and turned around so we were facing each other. She was actually here. I then crushed her into my chest and breathed in her scent.
I heard a throat clear, and only then noticed Lincoln standing at the tree line. I squeezed her tighter as she started to pull away from me. Part of me didn’t want to let her go, but I did, knowing she wouldn’t be leaving this time. She quickly slapped my arm.
“That’s for not being there when I woke up!” She glared at me before Lincoln started laughing. I glared at him as he tried to cover his laughter with a cough. Yeah, that’s what I thought. I sighed as my gaze landed on Amelia. She was looking at me through her lashes.
“I guess this means I should explain.” She nodded eagerly. Little did she know what I had in mind for her.
Amelia-
“I guess this means I should explain.” Jackson said, as I nodded, ready to finally be a part of this mysterious secret. He smirked at me before reaching behind his back, and pulling out my...his journal. “I need you to read this, and then we’ll talk. Here, let me and Lincoln escort you back to your house.” He gingerly took my hand, and I intertwined our fingers. He smiled sheepishly at me as he started walking towards the trees, with Lincoln trailing silently behind us.

After fifteen minutes of walking, we arrived at the leafy doorway that now belonged to me. I started moving towards the stairs, as Jackson pulled me back down to him. His eyes trailed up and down my body as I felt my face flush.
“What no goodbye?” He whispered huskily while my heart fluttered and he wrapped his arms around my waist. “You look beautiful today, Amelia.” He kissed my forehead and started to pull away. “Come find me tomorrow morning after you rea-”
I don’t know what came over me, but just the thought of him leaving became unbearable, especially since it was almost pitch black in the woods, the only light coming from the glowing lanterns hanging from the branches above our heads. I crashed my lips against him as I felt him smile. I pulled away, mortified at what I had done, but he just wrapped himself around me in a hug, preventing me from leaving.
“Amelia, I don’t think you understand how long I have been waiting for you to do that.” He said into my hair as I sighed, content in his arms. Maybe that little burst of confidence wasn’t so bad.
“Jackson, please stay tonight. I-I’m afraid to be alone.” I looked down as he stepped back and brought my chin up so that I would meet his smiling eyes.
“Of course. I need to talk to Lincoln first, but I shall return once we’re done.” I just now noticed Lincoln had left us. Oh God. My face turned red at the possibility of him seeing what I had just did. I nodded, and walked up the stairs into my house, waiting for his return.
Jackson-
I stood there frozen for a few minutes, the tingling on my mouth starting to fade. I heard Lincoln come out of the trees clapping with a smirk on his face.
“Bravo, my friend.” He laughed as I walked up to him and hugged him for a few seconds.
“Shut up and go find Tin.” I laughed as he glared at me before laughing.
“It’s good to have you back Gray. How is she?”
“Who... Amelia? Well I reckon she’s doing just fine now.” I wiggled my eyebrows at him while I played along, just like with Tin, until they both finally admitted they had feelings for each other. Lincoln punched my arm as we started walking into the trees, towards the gates of the castle.
“All right, all right. No need to get physical. Tin’s doing just fine as well. She said she was just dying for your delightful company.” I raised my voice as I mocked Tin, and started to swoon, resting one hand on my forehead, the other across my heart, and batted my eyelashes. He slapped the back of my head as I grinned at him. “Seriously dude, you need to decide on your feelings for my sister, because this whole me being a messenger thing is starting to creep me out. Just go see her.”

So I know this is like, years late, but I've been sick and what not. And this isn't the whole chapter, but I promise that I'll upload a lot this week/weekend! :D
