I watched her leave. I needed to know what had hurt her so much. I couldn't just stand by and let it happen.
"Raven, wait!" I called after her.
I started to run after her, but I was tackled to the ground. I struggled, changing into different animals.
"Let me go," I grunted.
"Beast Boy, just let her go. She needs some time alone," Crow said.
I changed into a hawk and tried to fly out, but Cyborg caught my foot.
"He's right, you know. Just let her go, she'll come back when she's ready," he said.
I changed back and stormed off to my room. I closed the door and laid on my bed, glaring at the cieling. My door opened and closed, and CC walked up.
"Hey," she said quietly.
I sat up angrily.
"I'm just mad because nobody will let me talk to her. What if she needs someone to talk to? Doesn't anyone care?" I asked.
"Of course they do, but you've got to see, you can't fix every emotional problem someone has. Sometimes a person just wants to be on their own. Trust me," she said.
"You don't get it, that was the first time Raven's ever hugged me, ever came to me for comfort. Do you know how long I've wanted that to happen? Ever since I met her and the others. Everyone else has always depended on me to be there for them, everyone except Raven. She trusted me for once, and I'm not going to let that go. I can tell she can trust me with this, and that I need to be there for her," I said.
She just wasn't getting the point! Raven needed me. CC sighed and sat next to me.
"Beast Boy, I do know what it's like. Ever since we came here, Crow's been happier, more talkitive. He even laughs at my jokes! But Raven still has an elusive, alone side like Crow. They like to be alone, think by themselves. Just let her go," she explained.
I gave up and kicked off my shoes.I rolled over onto my side and waited. CC got down and turned off the lights, crawling into bed. I had top bunk and she had bottom. I waited until I could hear her snoring. I slowly got up and sneaked over to the window. No way was I sleeping while Raven was still out there. What if she ran into Control Freak or Overload? She might need my help. I opened the window and looked back to make sure she was still asleep. I dove out into the air. I feel a few feet before changing into a pering falcon. I needed to be fast to find her. I flew off, looking on the roof first. She wasn't there. I flew over the water. Maybe she had a secret underwater cave like I did.
I flew closer to the water and changed into an eel. I slithered through the water at full speed, checking every cave I passed. I looked everywhere. I gave up and changed into a duck, coming to the surface. I took off into the air and changed back into a pering falcon. I flew everywhere, searching for her. I searched for hours, my wings growing tired and my eyes closing from time to time. I changed into a pterodactyl, still looking. I wanted to be something else, so I kept changing. I finally decided to be an owl. My eyelids began to droop, but I shook my head, trying to stay awake. I felt myself falling, and realized I had fallen asleep in mid-air. By the time I was awake it was too let. I had crashed on the ground. Ground? I cracked open my eyes and saw I was on a rock of some sort. It rang a bell, but I passed out, accepting the sweet bliss of sleep.
