Chapter 5
I feel dumb and straight up stupid. Why did I send that. Well the word is out. I decided I didn't want to talk to him anymore and put my phone down when my mother stormed into my room and grabbed my phone and told me I was grounded. Well its not like I do anything anyway. I'm the kind of girl who if you give her the choice would sit at home and read books than hang out with other people my own age. Well what can I say I would rather socialize with a made up character than spend hours at a time with girls that all they do is judge and gossip.
"Get out of your uniform and into something normal. In about 20 minutes I expect you to be ready," my mother had said in a angering tone. "Where are we going?" I had asked because I was surprised that she even wanted to go anywhere with me. "I will be taking you to John F. Kennedy High School. Be ready in 20 minutes." Man she really was not in a good mood but I guess that happens when your only child get kicked out of a school for gifted and talented people.
What was I supposed to wear to school? I decided on a cute dress, with some leggings and flats, and went off to public school.
When my mother and I pulled into the parking lot, I noticed that it was full of really nice cars. Maybe this place wont be so bad after all. After we parked, I noticed that the school was much bigger than my old one. In the front foyer they had displayed all their trophy's and plaque's. The main office was the first door on the left and the glass window's and doors were faced so that if you work in the office and you look up from your desk you could see the trophy case.
By the look on the face of the girl sitting outside the door I was guessing was the principal's office I didn't think I would be too popular here. The lady at the front desk started up a conversation about my schedule but I could really care less. I tried I hear what was going on in the hallway, as I could see a large group of students were all gathered together.
My mother snapped me out of my daze when she decided it would be nice to include me in the conversation with the lady who said her name was Pam. What a boring name, like seriously Pam? She continued by handing my schedule and telling me that everyone was at their Third Hour class.
As I scanned the piece of paper she had given me I noticed that my third hour was AP Biology. Pam complimented me by saying that it was a senior class but since I was already taking it at my old school that I was allowed to take that class. Well as I was a junior I didn't see the big deal. I asked Pam if she could assign someone to show me around and just my luck someone was walking out of the principal's office. A really cute someone.
"Chase can show you around if that's okay with him" she said. "That's fine with me." The voice had came from the handsome guy right behind me. He had dark curly hair and really pretty blue eyes that I could just swim in. I could feel myself get a rosy color of pink on my cheeks as he touched my back.
As Chase and I were walking away I could see my mother mouthing the words 'he's cute,' she was always trying to set me up with random strangers no matter how attractive or unattractive they are. I started to notice that he was staring at me so foolishly the words, "take a picture it lasts longer," fumbling out of my mouth. I was so stupid! What in my right mind would make me say that?
"Don't be to full of yourself babe." He said with a smirk that made me feel some sort of butterflies in my stomach that I have never felt. "Don't ever call me babe." I said with a tone in my voice that surprised me that I would be able to say anything.
"We're here." I started to reach for the door handle but his hand beat me to it. "Ladies first." He said as he opened the door for me. When I walked in the room I was hit with a horrible smell that I wish to never smell ever again. From then on I knew that my life would never be the same.
