I climbed out of Corey's bed quietly to get ready for work. He had morning skate and a game, so I didn't want to wake him. I can't imagine how nice it was for him to finally sleep in his own bed after being on the road for so long.

After I was done getting dressed for work, I woke up Nathan and dressed him. As we were in the kitchen getting all of our stuff together, Corey walked in looking sleepy and rumpled, but still gorgeous.

"Morning." He said his voice still thick with sleep.

"What are you doing up already? Did we wake you?"

"No, I rolled over and was alone." He walked up and kissed me. "Can you two stay here while I am home?" He asked.

"Sure. We would love to if you're sure it's not a problem or distraction for you."

"Absolutely not. I want you here as much as possible."

I blushed at his words. "Then we will be here when you get home from the game tonight."

"Have a great day at school, buddy." Corey says as Nathan gives him a hug.

"Thanks, Corey. See you later." Nathan says as he picks up his backpack and heads into the garage.

"Good luck tonight. I love you." I say as I quickly hug and kiss him good-bye.

"I love you too."

I head out the door and Corey hollers, "Don't forget to talk to Amanda about some of these upcoming games."

Later that day during lunch, I get a text from Corey. "Game dates?"

"Hey, A! Corey wants us to go to some of these home games that he has coming up in the next few weeks."

"Awesome! Well, we are going Sunday with my dad, but maybe we should ask Jodi if she wants to go to a game. Oooo, could we sit in the box with the other wives and girlfriends?"

"Umm, probably if there are three of us we will have to, but I will mention it to Corey." I say with fake cheerfulness because the box was the last place that I wanted to sit.

"Cool. When were you planning on going?" She asks.

"Nathan and I are going to stay out there while he is home, so I probably will take Nathan to Friday night's game. We are going to Sunday's game. After that, I don't really know."

"Let's look at the schedule after school with Jodi and figure it out. Also, we should look into going to an away game over Spring Break. I think there's one in St. Louis."

"That's an awesome idea. I could surprise Corey. Let's do it." With that, the bell rang signaling the end of lunch.

Nathan and I spent the evening packing some things for the time we were spending at Corey's. Once we got to Corey's, the game had already started, so I had it on in the background as we had dinner and did homework. After the first period intermission, I put Nathan in the bath, and by the time I got him to bed, it was intermission for the second period.

The game went into overtime and then to the shootout. The Hawks lost in the shootout. I was laying in bed reading when Corey got home from the game.

"Hey." I said timidly as he walked into the bedroom.

"Hi." He said as he climbed on the bed and kissed me.

"Sorry about the game." I said.

"Thanks. It happens. We haven't been on our own ice in so long; it'll take time to readjust. Plus, a lot of us are just exhausted."
