We slowly tiptoed down the stairs, still in our party clothes. Niall kept bugging me but I just ignored him and carried on walking. We finally reached the kitchen but it was locked and all I did was stand there and groan.
"Do you have a pin?" Niall whispered to me.
"What do you think?" I whispered and he rolled his eyes.
"Oh wait, i remember pez giving me some, to keep them safe for her" I said and searched through my pocket of my leather jacket. My face lit up when I found one of them and I hurriedly pulled it out. I gave it to him and he started fidgeting with it before putting it in the keyhole. After about 10 seconds I heard a click and the door swung open.
"Not bad" I said and stepped inside.
"It just comes naturally" he said and followed behind me. He closed the door, so we didn't have to whisper anymore.
"Where's the food?" Niall asked.
"Probably in the fridge" I said and we both walked up to the massive fridge. I opened it up and there was a bunch of food. I spotted some leftover pizza, so I took three slices out for myself. Niall took a piece of lasagne and we put the food in one of the washed plates.
"Ugh, it's cold" he moaned but I just kept eating.
"You sure are hungry" he said and started eating again.
"I finished" I said and rubbed my hands together.
"What? I just started though" he said and I lightly chuckled.
"I'll wait" I said and sat down in one of the corners. He finished his lasagne and came and sat down next to me. I looked up at him, but he was just staring straig ahead.
"What are you thinkin about?" I asked.
"You" he quietly said and slowly turned to look at me.
"what about me?" I asked again. We were staring at each other and it didn't feel that awkward.
"How you're different" he said.
"Good or bad way" I asked and he smiled.
"Definitely good" I grinned and then got up.
"Let's go back" I said and held my hand out so he could take it. He grabbed my hand and stood up.
We walked out of the kitchen and Niall used the pin to lock it again so no one would find out we were here. We were just about to walk on but we heard footsteps.
"it's the warden" I whispered and I knew it was her because I had gotten used to the sound of her heels tapping around the school.
We tiptoed/ran to the the nearest set of lockers we could find and hid in the empty place behind them. Niall was leaning against the wall and I was pushed up against him because there was not much space. My hands were resting on his chest and his hands were on the sides of my waist because I couldn't keep my balance in such a small place.
"Can you hear her?" I asked a few minutes later.
"No, but she's definitely still roaming around" he said and I nodded. Then we started hearing footsteps coming our way. My grip pn his shirt tightened and I leaned in closer. His hands were now wrapped around my waist and we were inches apart.
Soon the footsteps had faded off and I looked up at him. He had a big smirk on his face as he tightened his grip on my waist. I releases his shirt from my hands and tried to get out of his hold but I couldn't.
"Niall, she's gone. Get off now" I whispered but he didn't let go.
"Niall, if you don't let go, I swear I'm gonna-" I started but got cut off with nialls hand covering my mouth.
