The Deep Abyss and The Castle

Chapter 6

                   "OK, guys, we are getting close," Molly said as they swam close o the abyss. "So, how do we undo this spell?" April ask, she was turned into a permanent mermaid, but she didn't quite enjoy that, "Only the King of Atlantis can undo spells, but you have to talk him into it, which is hard," Lizzy said, "OK, we can do that," Casey said, "It's not that easy Casey, you see, he's my dad," Molly answered rubbing her head, "Then why don't you talk him into it?" he asked, "Trust me, not even his own daughter he has time for," she frowned, "What about the Queen? Like, um, your mom?" Leo asked, Molly didn't answer, she kept on swimming. No one said anything until they were at the edge of the deep abyss, the turtles looked over, "So, any tips before entering?" Mikey asked a little scared, "Don't look at any of the fish down there, they are very dangerous, and stick close to us," Max said bravely. They all entered the abyss and swam deeper and deeper and deeper. "Wow, what's that," Mikey asked pointing at the light, "Angler fish, don't look at it the light will fool you," Donnie said, moving Mikey's head ahead of him. Now, there were 8 lights ahead of them, "OK, 8 more of those fish good," Raph said, "Those aren't Angler fish, it's the Devil Octopus, it confuses you with it's lights and brings you deeper in the abyss and have you for lunch," Lizzy said. Suddenly, a big tentacle took the octopus in. "Ah!" the turtles screamed, "Calm down guys, it's just the Sharktapus, he doesn't eat mermaids," Molly said in a nice voice, "I thought you said some never make it back alive," Leo wondered, "Yeah, if you need his help, you have to pass his test, either a riddle or a task," she answered. They were at the end of the abyss now, it was really dark, but Molly, Max, Lizzy and April could see fine. "Hmm, I don't see him," April said, but then a stern voice said, "Who dares disturb me, I'm trying to sleep," it was the Sharktapus, "We come cause we need your help Sir," Molly said, she wasn't afraid of him, she faced him 2 times already, "Molly Clarke, why are you here again?" he asked, they could hardly see him, he was in the shadow area, "I am here because, my friend accidentally found the starfish that makes things disappear, and Atlantis was that thing," she explained, "First answer the ancient riddle that has not been answered for 3 decades now," he replied, "Molly, these riddles are serious and we only get one chance, plus this hasn't been solved for 30 years!" Leo worried, "Molly, are you ready?" he asked feeling impatient, "Yes Sir," she replied, "Molly Clarke, what is greater than God, more evil than the devil, the poor have it, the rich need it, and if you eat, you'll die?" he asked in his majestic tone, she thought for a second, "Molly its' n-" Lizzy was about to answer, but Sharktapus cut her off, "Lizzy Garricks, only Molly can answer," he shouted. Only Lizzy, April and Donnie who knew what the answer is. "5...4...3...2.." he counted, "Wait! It's not- um, nothing?" she asked, "Hmm, a riddle that hasn't solved for 30 years, has been solved by Molly Clarke," he said calmly, "OH Yes!" they all said as they hugged. In a magical poof, they were sent back to the top of the abyss, "Aw man, I didn't get to see the Shark guy in full body," Mikey frowned, "Oh Mikey," Lizzy giggled. When they glanced behind them, Atlantis was there, "Now, let's talk to my dad to change April back," Molly said swimming ahead. "So, what's his name? King Neptune? Aqua Man?" Mikey asked, "His name is King Stephen," Lizzy answered, "Oh, I was thinking Aqua Man though," he replied, "Whose that?" Lizzy asked, "Aqua Man, part of the Justice League, King of Atlantis, in comics," he said, "What are comics?" she asked swimming ahead of him, Mikey froze, "Ugh, come one Mikey, she's a mermaid remember," Raph said pulling him along. When they entered the gates of Atlantis, the turtles including April and Casey were mind blown, other mermaids were staring at them, "Why are they staring?" Raph asked, "They can smell a human, Casey," Molly whispered. They were now at the gate of the castle, "Molly Clarke, your father will like to see you and your *sniff* friends?" one of the guards said. She didn't answer but went in with the others following. The throne was made of pure gold, and in it was King Stephen, he had a rich golden tail, with brunette hair, and he had the trident in his hand. Molly's friends bow down while she went up to him. "My daughter please explain what happened to this place, and why do I smell human," he said while sniffing, Casey covered his face a bit. Molly explained the story, as well as April and Casey being humans, "So you have saved Atlantis, but let humans into our home!?" he yelled, "But dad! These are good humans you can trust them, just undo April's spell and they will be on their way, I promise," she begged, "Did you know what happened to your mother? OUR QUEEN?!?" yelled at her, she opened her mouth, but didn't say anything. Instead she cried all the way to her house. "Take away the humans!" he demanded his soldiers, "Hey put us down, leave us alone!" April and Casey shouted as they were taken away to the dungeon. "Uh, King, what Molly said speaks the truth, we aren't turtles, we are mutant turtles, and these humans has kept our secret for almost a year now," Leo tried to explain, but he didn't care, he just wanted to protect his people, "Come on guys, we are no longer needed here," Lizzy said, as they swam out of the castle.

Molly came back up to the docks with her tail slimy and bright, "OK, where are we at now?" she asked, "After April and Casey got locked up," Max answered, "Aw man, I missed the abyss part then," she frowned. "OK, I wanna continue it," Leo volunteered. "Molly was in her room crying, and he could just about here her..."

~~~Flashback to Leo's P.O.V~~~

"Is this her mom?" I asked picking up a picture of a mermaid with a multi-colored tail and brunette hair, (pic of the book that's her) "Yup, the Queen on Atlantis, ever since the incident, Molly kinda hated her father, for not trusting humans anymore," Lizzy answered me, "What happened?" I added, "I think she should tell you," she said, "OK, I'll try," I sighed. Everyone else was in the living room talking, maybe making a plan to convince the King that April and Casey are good humans. "Molly, come one let me in, you can't cry forever," I said while knocking, "Who is it?" I heard her sobbing, "It's Leo," I replied in a sweet tone. She finally accepted me to come in her room, it was pretty big, she's like Ariel from that movie, she collects lost of stuff from the ocean. "Want to talk about it? Maybe," I asked shyly, she sniffed then nodded as I kinda sat of her bed, since I was still in water after all. "My mom was going to NYC, like I did, she met a human who saved her from a net. He was a fisherman actually, she couldn't date him, she was already Queen at the time. Every month she will visit, until my dad became suspicious, they fought one night as well, but I was 7 at the time, so I didn't really know what to do. That same night, she met him at the docks, things became a huge twist, other fishermen weren't suppose to be at that docks, only him, but they always wonder why Mark will go to the docks every month. When he heard them coming, he told my mom to swim away, but she hid under the docks instead, the fishermen asked Mark where the mermaid was but he refused to answer. So a fight broke out, my mom took a peep at the violence, since she was Queen, she could turn into a mermaid and human at any time. One of the fishermen couldn't take it anymore, he went for the kill, then my mom jumped in the way, Mark scream holding her in his hands and the fishermen ran away, not knowing that they killed a mermaid, her last words were "Some humans can be trusted". From that day, they forbid mermaids to see humans, you can only go visit the places of the world, but never interact with one," Molly finished, I tried to take it all in. "So, yeah, my father is just a selfish fish!" she cursed, "Hey, don't blame your dad, I mean, I don't agree with him, but he's doing it to protect his people, and you Molly," I tried to calm her down, she cried even more, "Look, once we save April and Casey, you don't have to worry, that is if your dad accepts it," I couldn't think of what else to say, "Leo, you believe in fairy tales?" she asked, I looked at her in confusion, "What?" I asked, "You believe in fairy tales?" she asked one more time, "Y-yeah, why?" I asked, she was coming closer to me, so close that our lips touched, and I kissed her back. After the kiss, I felt great! "I gave you a full moon kiss, kiss a sea creature at full moon, they have the ability to interact will all fish, kinda like Aqua Man," she explained, "So, we are busting in the Castle?!?" I asked in shock, and she nodded with a smile.
