Chapter 2- I Can Feel The Changes
(POV) Ali
After graduation was over, I changed and I went to go meet the fam and Cara, Dee and Justin for lunch at Applebees. Having everyone bask in the celebration of my accomplishments felt good. I was starting life as an almost adult on a good note. My birthday was in 2 days and after that I leave to go on tour so I'm super excited. Dee and Cara say they have something special planned for me, and to be honest Ali knew what it was. A surprise going away party.
After lunch, my my parents left with Mia, Elijah headed out to go hang with hsi friends. Leaving Cara, Dee, Justin and I alone.
"So what do you guys want to now?" I asked.
Dee and Cara exchanged looks.
"Actually I have to get back home, my mom says she needs help with baby shopping." replied Dee getting up and grabbing her things. Her mom is 6 months pregnant and Dee is going to be having a 3rd sibling much to her luck.
"Awww ok, see you later Dee." I waved goodbye watching her brazilian weave wave back.
"Okkkk what about you guys?" I asked. "Any plans?"
"Umm that's the thing," started Cara.
Cara was a horrible liar..
"I have to pack for the tour! I still need clothes and supplies to get and you know how my parents are. My mom won't let me go anywhere without emergency supplies." stumbled Cara grabbing her bag and her cap. "I'll call you tonight!" said Cara blowing a kiss and leaving.
"Alright bye!" I smiled.
"I guess this leaves us." coughed Justin.
"I guess so," I took a sip of my sprite even though there was just ice still in the glass.
"So do you know what's up with Cara and Dee?" I asked.
"Nope no clue." replied Justin. His iPhone buzzed. He grabbed it.
"Yeah so we should catch up, you know after today we will be going our separate ways, I'll be going to Film & Directing school in the UK and you'll be attending UCLA for 4 years and then begin your career as a singer." smiled Justin. He looked so much older now, he even sounded more Dominican than his abeula.
"Welll what do you want to do?" I asked.
"Let's go see a movie." he offered.
"Yeah maybe, I was thinking-"
Suddenly Justin's phone started to ring and buzz.
"Hold on Al." he said. He walked over to wall. I looked back.
"No no babe I'm not home yet, I told you I was going to an old friend's graduation." he tried to whisper but it was louder than just a whisper.
"Look I know,-" sighed Justin in frustration. "Alright I'm on my way. Bye."
Great, Justin had to go to.
I couldn't help but be nosey but I blurted it out. "Who was that?"
"Ali I know we haven't talked in a long time so theres a lot I haven't told you but I have a fiance."
"Whoa fiance," I exclaimed. I was shocked. Justin?
"How could you not tell me!" I laughed.
"I'm sorry after you went to ADMA I never saw you, so we never kept in touch." he said.
