Lacey's P.O.V.~

I woke up in the darkness of a room. No lights, no windows, just the creaky old bed that had laying down me on it. I lifted myself up, trying my best not to make any sounds.

I could remember everything that happened last.

My question is though, did he have to push me into the wall? I mean, seriously. That hurt.

I directed my attention to the door when the light started to stream in.

The light was a bit blinding at first so I had to squint and cover my eyes.

"So I see your awake." The guys voice from the hospital spoke.

"Nope, I'm not awake. I'm dreaming."I stated, but continued. "Dreaming of getting out of here."

"Well keep dreaming, because your not in Disney Land. Dreams don't really come true here. Only nightmares." He finished. To be honest, it scared me. "Your owner will see you soon."

"Owner? What do you mean 'owner'? I believe I'm a living, breathing human being that can take care of myself." I argued back, only for him to do something unexpected.

"Do you want to argue with me?" He said, pulling out a knife and aiming it for my head. I shook my head, not daring to

say another word. "Good."

He then walked away and through the door. He slammed it shut behind him and I jumped. But, who is my 'owner'?

The door slowly creaked open and scooted away at the sight of who was there.

"Hello, Lacey." Jace said. I didn't dare to say a word. I just sat there, worry covering my body. "Come here, I want to show you something." He said holding his hand out for me to take. Instead, I just stood up on my own, without using his hand. Even though he tried to be a gentleman, I didn't want to be his little 'girlfriend' either.

He grabbed my hand and started dragging out of the room and around an unknown house. It wasn't the house where I had met Kaitlyn, and it surely wasn't the boys' house either.

He guided me to a room that I guessed was probably just like, maybe a basement. Just above ground. Kind of like a tornado shelter. I'm just gonna call it a basement.

So we entered the basement, and he guided me to a leather couch. He signaled for me to sit, so I did.

"So did Logan tell you about your owner?" He asked.

"Who?" I replied.

"The guy from the hospital."

"Oh. Him." I said putting a disgusted look on my face then continuing. "Yes. Who is it?" I questioned, hoping it wasn't him.

"He'll be here soon. He is running a bit late." He said, looking me in the eyes. "I wish it could've been me.." He drifted off at the end.

"So, why can't my 'owner' be like, you know, someone I actually know?" I asked him.

"Well, you have a owner because some people bi-" he said but was cut off by the door bursting open.

"I'm here." A fairly attractive guy said nearly bursting down the door.

The dude had brown hair that was kind of slicked to the side. He had blueish, greenish eyes and was about an inch or two away from my height.

"Hi. My name is Jake." He said holding out his hand for me to take. I held my hand out to shake, but he brought it to his lips and kissed the palm of my hand.

I blushed a bit when he did that, since no guy had ever done anything close to that to me.

"Well Lacey, this is your owner." Jace said grumpily. "I'll give you two some time to actually MEET each other." He said leaving the room and closing the door behind him.

"Hi my name is Lac-"

"I know what your name is." He cut me off, smiling.

"So..." I said not knowing what to say.

"Hi." He said again. I giggled a bit under my breath.

"Hi." I replied.

"So your from America?" He asked.

"Yes." I said. "And trust me, it's a long story. You don't want to know it."

"Okay." He said laughing.

"Are you from around here?" I asked.

"Well, not exactly." He said, "I was born in America and then when I was 12, I moved here." He answered while I nodded.

"So how old are you?" I questioned.

"14." He replied.

"Okay." I finished.

Then we went into an awkward silence.

It lasted for about 5 minutes before Jace burst through door. We both looked towards him.

"Dinners ready." He said with his British accent, then narrowing his eyes at Jake.

"Hey, would it be okay if I took Lacey out for dinner?" Jake questioned Jace with a hopeful look on his face.

Awwww. NO LACEY! BAD LACEY! *imaginary squirt bottle squirts Lacey* Bad Lacey.

"Fine." Jace said sighing. "But you better bring her back." He said pointing his finger at Jake then exiting the room, his finger still pointing at Jake.

"Okay. Lets go!" He said taking my hand and taking me out to the front porch. "We can walk. It's not that far."

"Where are we going?" I asked even though I knew he probably wouldn't tell me.

"Not telling." He said with an evil look on his face.

A runner came by and waved as they saw me.

No. Crap. Crap. Crap. Crap.

That was Kaitlyn.

I started walking even faster, dragging along Jake with me.

"Wait, LACEY!" I heard Kaitlyn yell. I started sprinting as fast as I could with Jake trailing behind. And also, may I add WHAT DO YOU THINK OF ME NOW GYM TEACHER. You always said I was SOOOO slow. Well BEAT THIS!

Okay that moments over.

Okay. So you may be thinking, why are you running away from Kaitlyn? She'll take you back to the guys.

Well honestly, I kinda want to stay with Jake. He's just sweet. :)

As we kept running I saw Kaitlyn had disappeared behind us, so I slowed my pace down to a walk. I looked back,

but didn't see Jake.

"NO! JAKE I'M COMING!" I yelled back.

I started to run back, when somebody jumped out from behind a tree. And tackled me.

"You made me get an owwie. I said acting like a 3 year old. I looked up to the figure and saw..................
