kim namjoon. the name rolled right off of your tongue. the young boy had asked your daughter, y/n, out in the third year of highschool. you'd grown to love him as a son. the boy was smart, and very respectful. he always read his poems to you, and had started calling you ¨eomma¨ as well. you did know though, that he did not handle emotions very well. he was constantly in denial, and couldn't tell when y/n was upset at him.

you felt bad for him, the poor boy had probably been broken by your daughter. y/n had told you everything last night between sobs. you saw the gorgeous ring on her hand and wondered how could she be so naive? you'd seen the way she had cried, the last time she had cried that way was when her father died. she'd cried for hours, drools and swollen lips accompanied by the loud gasps for air.

so you'd decided. you knew namjoon gave her those silly notes. she told you were she kept them, and often texted you pictures of new ones she'd given her. you acted casually and inconspicously, so she hadn't a clue you'd taken them. except for when she basically caught you carrying them out.

you hadn't even been searching for three minutes when you found the gold mine. hundreds of different sticky notes, all hidden in a drawer by the front door. except, hidden was an overstatment, since the notes stuck out when you closed the drawer. pink notes, yellow notes, notes with designs on them, all with similar but never identical handwriting on them. all so sickeningly sweet.

you grabbed dozens of sticky notes at a time, stuffing them in a small music box you'd found at your house. you walked right past your daughter's nose, her unkowningly giving kim namjoon away to you. you got in your car and drove away to an unknown destination.

no. you were not going to trash these. you'd seen the way she'd talked about him, and you'd read a letter in one of the jackets you were going to wash this morning. there was no way they weren't getting back together. you were going to give these to y/n 's best friend for ¨safe-keeping¨. until they got back together at least.

you also decided she needed a push of sorts, so you set her up on a date at the Seoul fish Market. she needed to realize her true feelings, by showing uninterest to another man.

that was it. they were getting back together.
