Lingering Death

- Chapter five

You had throught of the day of when Ren kissed you and the way you felt when his lips traveled you; how you flirted with death. You were finally fully healed and your body was perfectly healthy and you had the choice to leave or stay at least you thought. Lord Ren could feel your cut healing as each day passed and you knew it.

"(Y,N), is this finally the day you wish to leave this place?" Kylo asked you and you simply answered.

"I want to leave. I'm sorry but I will be back and I want to see the damage that has been inflicted upon my people," You said and he was very quick to answer.

"I know you want to be with your people but, I can show you. It is dark enough I want to be there with you when you see what I saw," He said and you noded as you sliped on your cloak and out the door. He quickly loomed over you while you followed him back to town. He was very smart to have the home of a man eater in the middle of a forest in the middle of no were when he said softly to you, "I can't give away were I live to you (Y,N). Please let me blind fold you," He said and you quickly noded and he slipped it over your head and tied it onto the back of your head. You could see nothing but blackness. "I'm going to cary you back to your place. I watched you long enough to know were you live," Swiftly you were lifted up off of the ground and into his strong arms. You quickly rested your head into his neck and trusted everything compleately.

You knew how fast he was since he was capable of running or moving faster than your eyes can catch. After a while you were finally brought onto the ground, "We are here, remove your blind fold miss," You quickly removed it and saw what you feared the most. Meny people were sick and were dieing. You feared this the most that this would happen and you quickly walked around with Kylo roaming behind you before he wispered, "I will be right back, please stay around this area and I will come and find you," He quickly walked away and you knew what he was going to do. You knew by the color of his skin that he wasn't feeding like usual. You walked some more and saw most of the bodies in the lake and you couldin't bare to live anything like this. The streets were almost grey along with the dark sky of the night fall. Most of the people had been kicked out of their homes do to the harsh conditions that they were living under. You knew that if you turned no death or sickness wcould ever touch you and you could finally be safe. But if you die, you will never be with the one that you love.

Quickly the more you walked the more people were coughing into their handkerchiefs before they haled away another body, "Sorry miss, I wouldn't go down there if I were you. The black death is back to great Britten," One of the men said that were haling away another body. You have heard of the great black pledge hitting here before we finally had it under control. Who knows who will survive this horrible out come? You walked for a bit longer and saw that nearly everyone in the kingdom had suffered the same outcome. You turned around swiftly and Master Ren was standing right behind you and you nearly jumped. He had blood dripping down his lips before he wiped it away swiftly.

"Now you see. I'm sorry that all of this happens behind your back,"

It seemed as if all light was drained from the town and everything seemed darker, "What is this world coming to?"

"Come along I don't think you are safe here. The sickness has no cure," You noded and walked away. You couldn't believe the amount of suffering everyone was facing, it was terrible. Kylo quickly led you behind and away from the town of black. You quickly slipped your blind fold back on and he picked you up and caried you back to the caste.

The damege was unspeakable and you couldin't beleive what had just happend to everyone and now you were in danger of suffering the same fate. You could never see yourself suffering in the same way that they all did but something could save you forever. This time you made it back far quicker and you asked, "Would you mind if I search your libreary for clues? I would love to do my research,"

"I don't mind at all, I will see you later tonight miss (Y,N). You should know were everything is and if and when you need any help just call for my butler." You noded and he left.

Over the next few hours of what was left of the night you searched for as long as you needed to when you grabbed several books that were in Kylo's posetion. Several saying the same thing, 'Virus unkown: Victems will suffer a painful slow death and heavy amounts of bleeding.' you picked up a few and found the same thing about what you shouldin't do to the paitent and how you must clenze everything and that they cannot be treated after sickness has taken its toll.

You skimmed and scaned all around before you found somthing that you knew you shouldin't have been looking at, 'The history of vampires,'. Yes (Y,N) urged herself to know what it would be like to live in anything like Kylo's skin. She wanted to know how death could never touch her again and how she might be able to survive the great sickness passing over great Britten. She flipped the pages and they seemed really old, must have been written merly a cenry ago. The writing was hard enough for you to read as it was more of a deep cursive. But something cought your eye:' "Vampires have never been seen before by a living mortal if they aren't going to be the devils next meal. It seems as if these hell bownd creatures have been damed out of hell and have no were left to go but feed off of earth. These imortals can and will do anything for the slightest taste of blood."

With that being the last you could read from that you quickly raced down stairs with the books in your hands, looking for Rey's advice. Quickly you stormed into her room and she pocked her head out of the water, "What is all the hola balow about?" She asked you while you sat down at the doc and told her everything. Really Rey was the only female companion that you had here in the castle.

"Me and Lord Ren dicided to go on a walk in the forest and he showed me these tiny little elves and-"

"Wow slow down I can bearly keep up with what you are saying," Rey said while you cought your breath and told her the really important parts.

"Rey! Me and master Ren kissed!"

"What? No way are you serious?" She asked you raising and eye brow.

"Yes, and my town is under attack by a virus with no cure and I nearly died last night."

"What happened (Y,N)?" Rey asked and you procided to tell her everything. You came to realize that Rey was infact very trust worthy and she would always stay to here what you have to say. Indeed she was a very good friend to have while living with a vampire. You told her about how you nearly got tworn appart by a pack of where wolfs and the leaders name is Poe and how Ren nearly declaired war agenst them for your well being. Rey was amazed and she said that she has never heard of him being so protective over somone like her. Even though you came from different places he was very kind and understanding in his own way. You told her about how beautiful and discribtive his paintings were and hw talented he was, when Rey finally said, "You love him don't you?" She asked you and you only blushed.

"I love him deeply. Truthfully I don't know what I'm going to do. He was clear on wanting to start a war over the wolfs trying to kill me and such,"

"Girl, you know I can tell how you feel. I can see it in your eyes every time he walks by and yet you are over loaded in fear. You think that he is going to kill you," She finally said what was on your mind. The very thought passed through your head with his nails digging into your wrists holding you in place as he begins to suck your very esance away. "Lord Ren would have killed you along time ago if he wished so."

You inhailed a deep breath and thought, "He appertates the livving very much and I know that he would think no less of you."
