Ivory P.O.V.

I slowly walk down the stairs and into the living room where my brothers are waiting for me. I am wearing ripped black skinny jeans and my Led Zepplin shirt. I glance at my brothers to find Jake in black jeans and a white polo that shows off all of his muscles, and Jaxon also has black jeans but he has on a white v-neck.

Once they notice my presence they lock their phones and stand up. I take a small step back and they frown at me. They pass me and in that moment I feel fear over take my body. Once they are on the other side of me I turn around and stiffly follow them outside and to Jake's car.

The ride is full of an awkward silence. I fidget in my seat a lot. I don't know what to say. I don't know them anymore and they don't know me.

All to soon we pull up in front of a mansion that is buzzing with people. I slowly get out of the car while trying to ignore the obvious stares I'm getting.

After I am fully out of the car, I stand, keeping my back straight, and head up. Fake it 'till you make it right? I walk with an air of confidence. I am a great actor, I mean people don't know I want to kill myself.

I enter the house and make my way deeper into the maze. My brothers disappeared a while ago so I am officially on my own.

Somehow I find myself I the kitchen surrounded by bottles upon bottles of alcohol. I shake my head trying to find a regular soda. When I come up with nothing I just grab a random bottle and start drinking.

I know it's bad but right now I need a distraction. From everything. Once I get to the end of the bottle I place it back on the counter and leave the kitchen. There are many people here. Eventually I find the dance floor and I just let loose.

I stumble a little bit and run into a hard chest. Tingles immediately shoot up my arms. I look up to see Jake and Jaxon's best friend, Ashton staring down at me.

We both whisper "mate" faintly. He wraps his arm around my waist and I wrap my arms around his neck.

We dance for a while until he leans down and whispers in my ear.

"Why don't I take you upstairs and show you what mates are supposed to do?" I can feel the haze on my mind.

I nod my head and he grabs my hand. He guides me through the mass of people. When we reach the stairs he looks back at me and pulls me into a kiss before we continue on our way.

Ashton P.O.V.

Pain filters through my head as the hangover takes full effect. I slowly open my eyes and come face to face with a sleeping beauty. Last night was the best sex I have ever had. Sadly I know I will reject her.

I can't be with her. My pack won't respect me if I stay with her. Besides I can have any girl I want, why would I choose her?

I slowly get out of the bed, trying not to wake her. Once I am standing I start looking for my clothes. I find them scattered all around the room.

Once I am finally dressed and ready I take one more glance at the angel sleeping on the bed before making my way home. My mother is already dressed when I walk through the door. I greet her before going upstairs to get ready for school. Luckily it's Friday.

For some reason my mind keeps finding it's way back to Ivory. She is like an angel. I will just wait a few years and then I will claim her as mine. I smile as I think about her carrying my pups. Our pups. I hop in the shower still thinking about the beauty I have as a mate.

Once I'm out I put on the first clean clothes I can find before making my way back downstairs. My mom has breakfast waiting for me on the counter. I reach over and kiss her cheek once I finish.

My dad comes down the stairs and doesn't say a word until he has downed two cups if coffee. Once he is done he turns to me.

"Alright Ashton, I know you have school soon but I just wanted to say don't ever hurt someone you love. It breaks them from the inside out. It ruins them." He stated slowly.

"What brought this on dad? And I'm not planning on hurting anyone anytime soon." Of course I'm lying through my teeth but who cares?

"I just have a bad feeling like something bad is going to happen." He shrugged.

I nod slowly and leave the kitchen to grab my bag. I yell goodbye to my parents before stepping out the door and head to my car.

The ride there my father's words are bouncing around my head. The old man must be tired or something. Nothing will happen to Ivory. I will make sure of it.

When I pull into the parking lot I find a spot next to Jake's car. I open the door and immediately feel everyone's eyes on me. I just stand there for a minute gazing into the trees before I turn around and make my way to my friends.

I feel as if I am on top of the world and I know it is because of Ivory.
