Ivory P.O.V

I am now sitting between a pair of Alphas and a pair of Betas. Both couples are angry. Very angry. They are all staring at me expectantly. Waiting for me to explain who made me cry. But tell me, how you are supposed to tell them that the people they love dearest broke me? You don't.

I clear my throat before glancing at them. "Well funny story, I just tripped-"

My mother cuts me off before I can finish my well constructed lie.

"Don't even think about lying to us young lady. Tell us the truth." My mother said with a stern mother voice.

I glance at the three other people around me as I think of the best way to word this. Seriously I can't break their hearts. I move my gaze back to my hands. I take a deep breath.

"Well it's a really long story and I'm sure you are all to busy to hear it. So I'll just go to my room." I said with fake cheerfulness.

Alpha John grips my arm gently and pulls me back down onto the couch. "We have all the time in the world. Start from the beginning. We can handle it Ivory."

My parents and John's mate, Carroline, nod their heads while looking at me with encouragement.

"It started when the twins started high school. Their friends started teasing me and pushing me around. The twins didn't say anything. After a while their friends got worse and the twins still didn't do anything. They were only like that around their friends though. They were nice when it was just us. I just brushed it off. I thought they didn't mean it. But last year they started being mean to me at home too." I take a deep breath, bracing myself mentally for the next part. "B-but at the party I got drunk."

I pause, slightly wincing as the memories come back. My mom starts rubbing my back, comforting me as I collect myself. My father speaks up before I can continue.

"Is that why you avoid your brothers now?" He asked slowly as though he couldn't believe it.

I nod my head before continuing. "I was dancing when I ran into someone. Sparks had exploded everywhere we touched. My wolf was jumping with excitement. When I looked up I stated into the eyes of my mate, Ashton."

John and Carroline look slightly confused and if I weren't so depressed I would have laughed at how adorable they looked.

"We danced for awhile before he lead me upstairs. I just went along. I was already so love struck." My voice wavers for a minute so I clear my throat. "W-we had sex. The next morning I woke up he wasn't there. I didn't think anything of it. I walked home and got dressed. I walked to school and I was so happy. When I got there, him and the twins' friends came up. Nicole started insulting me and I looked all three of them in the eyes and they all just looked down."

My voice turns bitter as I start the next part. "I just pushed passed her and started walking around. I should have know, they always told me my mate would reject me. And how no one will ever love me. I was pulled into an empty classroom and by the sparks I knew it was Ashton. He glared at me and I just stared back at him. H-he rejected me and I walked out of the room. The pain didn't hit me until later. I ran towards the exit but stopped when I saw all of them there. Ashton pulled Nicole close and kisses her. He glanced up at me but I just turned around and walked to a different exit. Then I came here."

All four adults have tears in their eyes as they look at me. I can see the pity in their eyes and that makes my anger rise. I just look down at my hands with a glare. I shouldn't have told them. I knew this would break their hearts.

My dad speaks up. "I'm going to call Ben."

I glance at my mom in confusion. She stares after my dad sadly. I then look at John and Carroline. John looks back at me as he starts explaining.
