Words of Regret

After her hand had hit my face she left crying for what she did. She had no reason to shed tears..I deserved it. I needed her in my arms but I must resist.

A week had passed and prince Innes went back to Frelia and will come back to Renais, to marry the princess.
Prince Innes left Renais, and I felt relief though I shouldn't have. That same morning I saw her... My princess. I haven't heard any words from her... As if she were avoiding me... Though I understand... I had said horrid things to her...
"General..." She said as she walked up to me. "Yes? Your majesty?" I managed to say. "My brother ordered for you to come with me to check on a near by village."
"As you demand..." She looked at me but then looked away "but I will walk" she said firmly. "I understand..."
Along the path of a nearby village.
Silence. That was all there was... Not even one word between us... "Princess I..."
"There is nothing to say"
"... No... You are wrong there is"
She looked at me before I pulled myself off my horse. "My apologies for before I..."
"Seth it's fine you just said what you felt I was foolish to..." That was when I stopped her.
"No... That wasn't what I felt... I lied... As I knight I failed my duty by falling in love with you my princess..."
"Oh Seth... Why now...now that I am to marry Innes..."
"Princess look at me... Answer my simple question... Do you love him.."
"No... I don't the one I love is

Those words gave me comfort to my heart but this love couldn't flourish. "Oh princess... We can't expose this love to the world as much as I wish to... We couldn't I am your knight and eventually I will die and-" be fore I could finish she placed one finger on my lips.. "No... Please don't say that... I love you and I foolishly accepted Innes's offer because of the jealousy I felt when I saw you kiss... Someone else..."
"Forgive me but I needed to push you away and make you hate me though my heart will ache." She moved her hand onto my cheek and placed her forehead on mine. "I can never hate you NY love..." My love... Such kind words I don't deserve. "Princess those words... I do not deserve them from your lips"
"Seth please...I.."
"Princess you will marry the prince of Frelia" she looked at me and attached her lips to my own. I moved my lips with hers, forgetting my surroundings. She gently pulled back, inches away from my lips, "I know but the next time he will come is the day of our marriage... I cannot marry him... Seth please allow us to live this love."
I nodded and kissed her lips once more "that would be a dream..."
A dream.. Yes a dream that soon turned to a nightmare...
