Prologue

I knew the day would come when my mother ruined everything. I knew it all along. I just liked to have a bit of hope that perhaps she wouldn't.

Well, lesson learned for me. Never rely on hope.

When she asked me to help her take care of my baby sister, Lauren, I knew she was just asking me to raise her, because she was too lazy to do it herself.

So, for the past few months, that's what I've been doing. Losing sleep, getting puked on, headaches from all the crying. But, things began to turn around when Harry Potter came back home for the summer.
